The Urban Planning Association is a sub-group student association of the Arts and Science Federation of Associations (ASFA), representing students of Urban Planning and Urban Studies at Concordia University. We are here to bring life to your social and scholarly adventures at Concordia.

We, as the Urban Planning Association, strive to help our fellow urban planning students push forward in achieving their goals. We work towards enhancing the education, experiential development and local urban planning opportunities made available to the community here at Concordia University.

We hope to encourage student interest in exploring their future careers more deeply, through our many initiatives that help students prepare for post-graduate life. These efforts include educational events, such as a speaker series that brings in major urban planning role models, tutorials and discussion panels, as well as chances to socialize with fellow students and professionals within and outside of the Concordia community.

The UPA will endeavor to improve and raise the profile of Concordia University's Urban Planning and Studies program within the school and towards other various planning schools.

Concurso Nacional de Robótica – AESSBot

Se trata del primer concurso de robótica del país, que se organiza desde 1995 y que periódicamente sigue juntando a jóvenes y no tan jóvenes para demostrar sus habilidades en la construcción de todo tipo de robots autónomos.

A principios de Febrero y de Julio, se organizan talleres sobre diferentes temas:

- Curso de iniciación a la robótica: Se enseña a la gente interesada en hacer sus primeros prototipos de robótica, todo lo necesario para conseguirlo.

Miembros de la asociación supervisan la labor de estudiantes de bachillerato que quieren realizar su trabajo sobre temas de robótica.

The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) is a public liberal arts university in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is a non-denominational university established in 1969 by the amalgamation of Prince of Wales College (PWC) founded in 1834, and St. Dunstan's University (SDU) founded in 1855. United Philippine Lines (UPL) was formed in 1960 as a joint venture between several shipping companies in the Philippines. In the mid-70's, UPL expanded and ventured into crewing. Technical University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, UPM) is the oldest and largest of all Technical Universities in Spain. It has more than 3,000 faculty members, around 30,000 undergraduate students, and over 8,000 graduate students.

UPM is made up of 21 Technical Schools and Faculties covering Architecture, Engineering and Sport disciplines. Most of its centers are located in the urban district of Madrid, in the City University of Madrid (north of Madrid), in the Montegancedo Campus (west of Madrid), and in the South Campus (southeast of Madrid), although some of them of more recent creation are spread in the outskirts.

UPM graduates around 5,000 students every year, of which 20% have participated in one of the existing international mobility programs. For cultural and historical reasons, UPM has especially strong relations with European and Latin American universities and, from 2004, started a fruitful and increasing cooperation with Asian universities, especially those from China. In relation with that point, around 50 students are being exchanged annually with the leading Chinese Technical Universities.

UPM has changed its educative system to be in accordance with the Higher Education European Space directives and now is providing an education based on a 4 years Bachelor level, followed by a 1 to 2 years Master level and the PhD level. At present, UPM is offering 39 Bachelor degrees, 55 Master degrees and 47 Doctoral programs.

UPM has a strong commitment to Research and Innovation. Participation in competitive European and National research programs provides 40% of the sponsored research funds, and research services and contracts with the industry supply the rest.

UPM ranks first among Spanish universities in the European Union R&D funding, having around 15% of the total number of the European Union funded projects such as the Framework Program, EUREKA and ESA (European Space Agency) held in Spain. In addition, UPM has created a Scientific & Technological Park, implementing an entrepreneurship program to foster the creation of joint R&D centers and spin-off companies. Thanks to all those figures, the Spanish National Government has awarded UPM with two Campus of International Excellence.

If they qualify for an apprenticeship or advanced placement they also have the potential to earn thousands of dollars. Each high school program provides a clear and direct pathway to post-secondary education. Many students graduate with college credit in their career field and many earn additional credits through dual enrollment and PSEOP.

That is why Upper Valley Career Center provides a broad spectrum of Adult Education opportunities as well as Adult Basic and Literacy Education and customized workforce development. Participation in full-time training may be funded with PELL grants, WIA, and TAA dollars. Graduates of full-time programs earn college credit and benefit from articulation agreements with state and affiliated institutions. The Adult Division operates under the authority of the Ohio Board of Regents and is ACCSC Accredited.
