La première moitié du XIIIe siècle

La constitution du corps universitaire parisien reconnu successivement par le roi et par le pape.

En 1200, la police royale réprima sauvagement un incident entre les bourgeois de Paris et la corporation universitaire parisienne. Celle-ci se plaignit au roi Philippe Auguste qui prit sa défense en accordant à ses membres - maîtres et étudiants - le privilège d'être soumis à la juridiction ecclésiastique pour les fautes dont ils se rendraient coupables. Ce privilège était important à une époque où l'Église et son droit écrit garantissaient contre l'arbitraire ceux qui en étaient dotés. Le monarque reconnaissait ainsi la corporation universitaire parisienne, à laquelle il donnait une existence légale.

Créée par décret N° 89-138 du 01 Août 1989 modifié et complété par le décret exécutif N° 95-205 du 05 Août 1995, puis modifié par le décret exécutif N° 98-391 du 02 décembre 1998 l'Université Aboubekr Belkaid de Tlemcen est le fruit d'une longue évolution.

L'enseignement supérieur a d'abord été assuré au sein d'un centre universitaire qui regroupait à l'origine (1974-1980) les seuls troncs communs des Sciences exactes et Biologie.

Cet enseignement s'est graduellement étendu à de nouvelles filières, couvrant ainsi d'année en année, un ensemble de cycles de formation et donnant à l'étudiant la possibilité de poursuivre l'intégralité de son cursus de graduation à Tlemcen.

En plus de la mise en place, dans des conditions souvent difficiles, d'un enseignement universitaire à Tlemcen, l'ancien Centre Universitaire peut compter à son actif la sortie des premières promotions en Sciences Sociales et Humaines en langue nationale dès juin 1984.

La mise en place, en août 1984, de la nouvelle carte universitaire et donc la création des instituts nationaux d'enseignement supérieur aura pour première conséquence de permettre, d'une part, à certaines filières cantonnées de fait au rang de simples départements d'acquérir le statut de véritables instituts, d'autre part à de nouvelles filières de voir le jour.

THE UNIVERSITY OF RZESZÓW was established in 2001 through the merger of the Pedagogical University of Rzeszów, the Maria Curie Skłodowska University, Lublin, Rzeszów branch and the Economics Faculty of the Agricultural Academy of Cracow.

Naast onze Univé-vestigingen in Assen en Zwolle kent Univé een netwerk van 22 zelfstandige Onderlingen met in totaal circa 150 vestigingen. Daar kunt u terecht voor persoonlijk verzekeringsadvies. De oudste Univé Onderlinge is in 1794 opgericht. In 1991 is de huidige groep ontstaan vanuit een fusie tussen NOVO en DLG, waaraan in 1992 de zorgverzekeraar Noord-Holland-Noord is toegevoegd. Univé telt ongeveer 2.800 medewerkers: circa 1.000 bij de centrale vestigingen en zo'n 1.800 bij de circa 150 Univé-vestigingen, verspreid over heel Nederland.

UNIVEG was founded in Belgium in 1987 by Hein Deprez. Hein Deprez started with producing mushrooms in 1983, followed by washing, cutting and packing of vegetables. This period saw the first contacts with the large supermarkets, setting a pattern that has been followed ever since.

The period 1990-2005 saw the internationalisation of the UNIVEG Group, with the acquisition of various agricultural operations and the takeover of more than 10 other companies in the chain of processing, logistics and distribution. As part of its expansion UNIVEG began to set up various subsidiaries.

In 2005 came the acquisition of Bakker Barendrecht, followed in 2006 by the merger with Bocchi. As a result, UNIVEG quadrupled its volume and acquired a strategic presence in 4 continents.

In 2007 UNIVEG reached an agreement with Katopé to acquire its shares and merge the Katopé Group with the UNIVEG Group. Katopé is a leader in production and distribution of exotic fruit, specialities and high value-added products.

Universal Biosensors (ASX:UBI) develops and manufactures diagnostic test systems for point-of-care (POC) professional and home use – a market worth about $US15 billion and growing at ~10% annually.

UBI's core technology is a disposable, multi-layer test strip which uses a proprietary electrochemical sensor to rapidly, accurately and cost-effectively measure biomarkers in the blood.

UBI has partnered with LifeScan, a division of Johnson and Johnson, to develop products for the self-monitored blood glucose (SMBG) market. LifeScan is a global market leader with ~27% of the SMBG market, valued at about US$9 billion.

OneTouch Verio was the first system launched by LifeScan using an electrochemical test strip developed by UBI. These systems enable rapid readings of blood glucose levels using a tiny drop of blood from a finger prick. OneTouch Verio is used by diabetics to better manage their condition and improve their quality of life. The OneTouch Verio product family is now being sold around the world.

UBI is now deploying its technology for coagulation testing at the point-of-care. An emerging growth segment of the POC diagnostic market, coagulation testing is estimated to be worth about US$1 billion and growing at ~10% per year.

In this market, UBI has partnered with Siemens, a world leader in diagnostics, to develop a range of novel handheld analyzers for POC coagulation testing in professional settings.
