The foundation

The University of Ferrara is one of the oldest in Italy. It was founded in 1391 by Alberto V, Marquis of Este, and granted by Pope Boniface IX.

The origins

The earliest courses were in the arts, theology and law and from the very beginning it attracted well-known teachers. These included Bartolomeo of Saliceto, 'Prince of the jurists', and Guarino of Verona, who had Enea Silvio Piccolomini (the future Pope Pious II) among his pupils.

The 20th century

At the beginning of the 20th century, the University of Ferrara had over 500 students, marking it as the most popular of the independent Italian universities. During the Fascist period, in 1934, the school of Pharmacy was upgraded to a Faculty.

This added to the three existing faculties of Law, Medicine and Surgery, and Science.

Between 1968 and 1969, the Faculty of Education was opened. This was subsequently renamed Literature and Philosophy. Thus we reach a total of five Faculties with thirteen degree courses, to which we must add the two-year engineering course.

The most recent expansion took place during the ‘90s, with the opening of three new Faculties: Architecture, Engineering and Economics.

No ano de 2000, o Laboratório de Controle Genético do CEDEME foi implementado com recursos de um Projeto multiusuários FAPESP, do qual participaram os Professores Aron Jurkiewicz, João Bosco Pesquero, Luiz Edmundo de Magalhães e Clélia R. A. Bertoncini, além das funcionárias Gui Mi Ko e Heloisa Allegro Baptista.

Em 2002, somando recursos adicionais de projetos de outros pesquisadores, como a Profa. Eliane Beraldi Ribeiro e a Profa. Soraya S Smaili, realizavam-se aproximadamente 100 análises de controle genético ao mês. Atualmente, atendemos a uma demanda de aproximadamente 250 análises ao mês para mais de 30 pesquisadores, incluindo vários pesquisadores de outras Universidades brasileiras.

Unifi runs its own recycling center and we collect about everything we can. Used motor oil is recycled or reused to heat our maintenance facility. Once water is in our system we keep using it. Unified Fire Authority is Utah's largest fire agency, serving over 375,000 residents in the cities of Alta, Cottonwood Heights, Draper, Herriman, Holladay, Riverton, Taylorsville and the unincorporated areas of Salt Lake County.

La historia de la Universidad comienza el 16 de Enero de 1967 cuando fue constituida como "Escuela de Contabilidad y Administración de la Ciudad de México, S.C." (ECAM). Sus fundadores fueron Don Adrián Mora Duhart, Don Gustavo Mondragón Hidalgo y Don Adrián Mora Aguilar.

En 1973, pasa de ser Escuela de Contabilidad y Administración de la ciudad de México, S.C a la denominación de Universidad Latina S.C.

Atualmente, possui 250 colaboradores, 542 médicos cooperados, mais de 87 mil clientes. Além disso, ela mantém uma rede credenciada com 16 hospitais, 28 laboratórios e 114 clínicas.
