Atende nas áreas de clínica médica, cirurgia geral, pediatria, ginecologia, oftalmologia, bucomaxilo, e alta complexidade em cardiologia, neurocirurgia, ortopedia e oncologia.

Em outubro de 2006 se deu início a Unidade de Terapia Intensiva, que conta com uma equipe médica plantonista e intensivista para cobertura nas 24 horas do dia de forma ininterrupta, 06 enfermeiros nível superior, 20 profissionais em técnicos e auxiliares de enfermagem, 02 fisioterapeutas e 02 profissionais de apoio, conforme estabelece as normas do Ministério da Saúde.

Lady Leonor de Lencastre, widow of King Dom João II, founded the Irmandade da Misericórdia de Lisboa (Fraternity of the Mercy of Lisbon) on August 15, 1498, installing it in the Capela da Nossa Senhora da Piedade (Chapel of Our Lady of the Piety). She nominated her confessor, Friar Miguel de Contreras, as its provedor (provector, president). The Fraternity took over the maintenance of the Hospital de Nossa Senhora do Amparo (Hospital of Our Lady of the Aid ) and later of the Hospital Real de Todos os Santos (Royal Hospital of All the Saints). Thousands of Irmandades da Misericórdia (Fraternities of the Mercy), also called Misericórdias (Mercies), consisting of lay people from the local communities, and their hospitals, known as Santas Casas da Misericórdia (Holy Houses of the Mercy), were created in Portugal and in its colonies. They play an important role in the medical and hospital care in their regions, accounting for two thirds of the hospital beds in Brazil alone.The predecessor of the Mercies was Lady Isabel of Aragon, the Saint Queen, wife of Dom Dinis, ‘The Farmer'. The outstanding Fraternities of the Mercy are among the most widespread and longer lasting humanitarian institutions.

O nascimento da Santa Casa, no início da década de 50, resultou do compromisso do padre João Jansen, de Maringá/PR e a anuência do Bispo Dom Geraldo Proença Sigaund, de Jacarezinho/PR, em melhorar as precárias condições de saúde dos trabalhadores rurais da região.

Em julho de 1954, num galpão abandonado, é inaugurado o ambulatório Nossa Senhora de Fátima, com 10 leitos. Um ano depois recebe o registro de Entidade de Fins Filantrópicos, renovado anualmente até os dias atuais.

A busca incessante de recursos e mão-de-obra especializada, sob coordenação de Dom Jaime Luís Coelho, Bispo de Maringá na época, possibilitou a construção de 81 leitos, do Centro Cirúrgico e Obstétrico. Entretanto, com o crescimento acelerado da cidade e região, a Diocese precisava de mais recursos para atender a demanda crescente de pessoas. Procurou, então, os Irmãos da Misericórdia de Maria Auxiliadora, uma Congregação alemã, fundada em 1850 pelo Irmão Pedro Friedhofen, para administrar o hospital. Desde 1970, a Santa Casa de Maringá conta com a Irmandade na sua direção.

Em 1992 termina o 6ª pavilhão e a primeira fase do projeto, com a Maternidade, Pediatria, Clínica Médica e Cirúrgica, Unidade de Fisioterapia, consultórios médicos, Unidade e Terapia Intensiva Adulto e Pediátrica, Pronto Atendimento, Centro Cirúrgico e Central de Recuperação, Esterilização, Lavanderia, Farmácia, Centro Diagnóstico, Setor Administrativo e de Recursos Humanos, Compras, em pleno funcionamento.

Hoje, além do atendimento à comunidade, a Santa Casa atua em conjunto com os gestores públicos de saúde para ajudar a suprir suas necessidades assistenciais, tecnológicas ou de competências. Para isso dispõe de 60% de seus leitos aos pacientes do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS).

A Santa Casa está à frente de projetos importantes, que mostram como a parceria público-privada pode render frutos para a comunidade, inspirando outras instituições a engrossarem suas fileiras em prol da saúde em nosso país.

Clínica Santa Catalina se constituye en 1993, como una institución médica dedicada a la Rehabilitación Física de pacientes jóvenes y adultos con patologías diversas (traumatológicas, neurológicas y post-quirúrgicas). Cuenta desde entonces con 80 camas de internación en 6 plantas, un amplio gimnasio de rehabilitación y todos los servicios complementarios necesarios para una internación especializada de complejidad media.

Cuatro años más tarde se inaugura una nueva sede en la calle México, desarrollada en 4 plantas, con la que se incorporan 40 camas de internación destinadas a la Rehabilitación Física; y se da inicio a la atención de pacientes ambulatorios en sus nuevos gimnasios, boxes y gabinetes de terapias específicas, brindando una atención adecuada e integral.

Años más tarde, se profundiza la especialización de la Clínica brindando también el servicio de atención a pacientes con asistencia respiratoria mecánica (ARM). Durante los años siguientes hasta hoy, Clínica Santa Catalina ha ido creciendo incesantemente en la calidad de atención: incluyendo nuevas especialidades, incorporando profesionales médicos de trayectoria a su staff, aumentando su planta funcional de enfermería y servicios de hotelería, adquiriendo equipamiento y tecnología, e incorporando terapias complementarias como Arteterapia y Musicoterapia, entre otras mejoras e innovaciones.

1903 – Nasce o grupo. Na época Ribeirão Preto era o maior centro produtor de café do Brasil.
