Located in the northwestern corner of Clackamas County on the banks of the scenic Willamette River, Lake Oswego is nestled among many of Oregon's greatest attractions: Mt. Oswego Health was founded more than 130 years ago, when a group of community-minded residents gathered for the specific purpose of starting a hospital. A look back to the initial board minutes reveals that the founders had concerns not unlike those in healthcare today.

They wanted to provide care to all residents, regardless of income and other factors. They desired a location that people could easily access and, of course, wanted their facility to have the best physicians and most modern technology.

Since that initial hospital meeting held in 1881, Oswego Hospital has evolved into a healthcare system that includes many vital services and programs. Today, the Oswego Health system includes Oswego Hospital, a 164-bed facility offering acute medical, emergency, surgical, maternity and behavioral services; The Manor at Seneca Hill, providing 24-hour skilled nursing, rehabilitation services and an Adult Day Health Services Program; as well as Springside at Seneca Hill, which offers retirement living for independent seniors.

In 2009, Oswego Health introduced urgent care services to Oswego County with the opening of the Fulton Medical Center, where residents can also have laboratory and medical imaging screenings conducted and businesses can take advantage of our occupational health department. A year later, the health system expanded once again when it unveiled the Central Square Medical Center, offering urgent care, lab and medical imaging services.

Just as it has for its first 130 years, the health system will continue to develop innovative and high-quality programs that improve the health of area residents. OTELINOX was established on June 01 1974 and has become a leading manufacturer of cold-rolled stainless steel strips.

In February 1981, the Wire Rod and Bar Mill production plant was commissioned. Now, this plant doesn't exist.

In October 1997, SAMSUNG DEUTSCHLAND GmbH – a branch of SAMSUNG CORPORATION Korea, has acquired the main package of shares (51%) of S.C. OTELINOX S.A. Now, Samsung Deutschland GmbH holds 94.25% of OTELINOX social capital.

Starting 1998, SAMSUNG dedicates itself to rebuild and develop OTELINOX, so this will have, in the nearest future, an important role in the Romanian economy, as well as within SAMSUNG group. A large program of investments was implemented, aiming for the upgrade and automate of the equipments, but also new investments.

In July 2002, a large investment was finalized, by creating a new production unit – Rolling Mill no.2 Plant. The plant produces thin and ultra-thin stainless steel narrow strips with thickness between 0.05 and 0.8 mm and widths between 5 and 650 mm.

In April 2010, a new production unit was finalized – Rolling Mill no.3 Plant. The project for the new production unit started in September 2007 and the works were of large scale. Rolling Mill no.3 produces high precision stainless steel wide strips, with thickness between 0.1 and 1.5 mm and widths between 30 and 1250 mm.

The cold rolling mill is the third high performance Sendzimir rolling mill in Otelinox, having a 50.000 tons production capacity. The products made in the new plant are 95% for the external market, same as all stainless steel product made in OTELINOX.

The 900 employees were educated in the spirit of continuous improvement, development and innovation, many being involved in Six Sigma projects, a quality system implemented in OTELINOX since 2004.

Otley College opened in 1970 and as we approach our 40th anniversary, we remain committed to furthering learner's experiences in a variety of different ways.

Although historically known as an agricultural college, the reality of where the college is today is far removed from the original farming origins in which we began.

Whilst remaining tremendously proud of their agricultural roots, (and we still are a key player in this expanding industry), today, courses at Otley are incredibly diverse.

In recent years new developments at the college include a construction, equine and foodskills centre, a new dog grooming parlour, football, rugby and cricket pitches, a whole new fisheries department and an engineering block.

Currently around 5000 learners attend the college, with around half of these students studying on distance learning courses.
