OLM company starts its production in 1963 as a small company operating in precision mechanic machining, out of the automotive market which is strongly relevant in Turin area.The first important development is to achieve the certificate for machining and testing aeronautic and space components. On 1989 connecting rods production is started: these pieces are components of small compressors produced in high series. Developing from aluminum to cast iron rods, our company starts a cooperation with many industrial compressor manufacturers also supplying other pieces and assembled groups.

In the beginning of the 90's the growth in turnover and occupation is consolidated with the new market of railroad carriages and transport pieces.

In November 2012 an additional enlargement is planned and successfully done: the new factory plant is completely changed and renewed and improved. Even more with two overhead traveling cranes that are able to move up to 5 tons, now we are able to machine big dimensional pieces such as aeronautical Invar parts.

We work to conserve wildlife, provide a sanctuary for great apes and generate income through wildlife tourism and complementary enterprises for re-investment in conservation and community development. OUR HISTORY

In the year 1927, the very first ceramic tile wholesale distribution operation in Canada was established by Mr. John Capra under the name "Montreal Floor and Wall Tile". This company was merged in the late 1950's with Olympia Tile, which was established in 1956. This set in motion an organization that would, in the 1960's and1970's, expand and establish branches in 11 major cities in Canada and open branches in many locations in the United States, to become an international leader in the ceramic tile industry.

In 1980 Olympia acquired Flextile Limited, a manufacturer of vinyl composite tile and producer of specialized cementious products, adhesives and accessory installation products for the ceramic tile and stone industry. Flextile has the distinction of being the only Canadian-owned vinyl flooring tile manufacturing plant. In the mid 1980's, Olympia Tile acquired a number of distribution companies in various locations in the United States who are now leaders in their respective regions.
