Mensen die worden verdacht van het plegen van een strafbaar feit, krijgen met het Openbaar Ministerie (OM) te maken. Het OM is de enige instantie in Nederland die verdachten voor de strafrechter kan brengen. Het OM zorgt ervoor dat strafbare feiten worden opgespoord en vervolgd. Daarvoor wordt samengewerkt met politie en andere opsporingsdiensten. De officier van justitie leidt het opsporingsonderzoek. Het OM heeft ook de taak om te zorgen dat het vonnis van de rechter wordt uitgevoerd; boetes moeten worden betaald, gevangenisstraffen uitgezeten en taakstraffen goed uitgevoerd. Samen met de rechters is het OM onderdeel van de rechterlijke macht. Het OM is dus geen ministerie in de gebruikelijke zin van het woord.

Het OM is een landelijke organisatie verdeeld over tien arrondissementen. Deze zijn gelijk aan de politieorganisatie. Daarnaast is er een landelijk parket dat zich richt op de bestrijding van (internationaal) georganiseerde misdaad, en een functioneel parket dat criminaliteit bestrijdt op het gebied van milieu, economie en fraude.

Op de tien arrondissementsparketten beoordelen officieren van justitie, ondersteund door administratieve en juridische specialisten, de enkele honderdduizenden zaken die jaarlijks binnenkomen. De zaken waarin hoger beroep wordt aangetekend komen bij een van de vier vestigingen van het Ressortsparket. Daar heet de vertegenwoordiger van het OM 'advocaat-generaal'​. De parketten worden geleid door hoofdofficieren van justitie en hoofdadvocaten-generaal. De landelijke leiding van het OM berust bij het College van procureurs-generaal (het College) in Den Haag. De minister van Veiligheid en Justitie is politiek verantwoordelijk voor het OM. Hij bepaalt samen met het College de prioriteiten in de opsporing en vervolging.

Oman Gas Company (OGC) is the Sultanate's gas transportation company, delivering natural gas to the vibrant economic sectors and major consumers comprising of Domestic, Power and Desalination plants, Fertilizer, Methanol, Petrochemical, Refineries, Steel and Cement plants.

Oman Mining Company (OMCO) launched in 1979 to exploit three copper deposits in the region of Sohar close to the north-east coast. The company constructed concentrator, smelting and refining facilities at the site capable of producing 20,000 metric tons of copper a year. Production began in 1983 and in 1994 the plant migrated to an international role as a toll smelting operation, shipping in copper concentrate from the copper traders and returning it to them or to other destinations as copper cathode.

The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) is the single Buyer of power and water for all IPP/IWPP projects within the Sultanate of Oman. The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) is responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient electricity and water production capacity available at the lowest cost to meet the growing demands in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Oman power system is not fully interconnected. The largest part of the system, known as the MIS (Main Interconnected System) covers the northern part of the Sultanate. A smaller system owned by the Dhofar Power Company serves the Salalah area in the south and the rest of the country is supplied by the Rural Areas Electricity Company. PDO (Petroleum Development Oman) who are responsible for oil and gas exploration and production also own and operate their own power system and this is interconnected with the MIS and Salalah systems.

The Sultanate is moving towards building a world-class transport network as an enabler to its economic growth. The Sultanate's infrastructure is on the verge of a massive expansion, with numerous road projects, airports, railway networks and sea ports being developed.

This is the first time that waterways are being utilised for inland LPG transportation, a good example of how Omera Petroleum is utilising its capacity and technology to strengthen the downstream gas industry of Bangladesh. OPL delivers 5.5 kg, 12 kg and 35 kg LPG cylinders to the household and commercial gas markets. OPL will also deliver 18 Ton bulk LPG to industrial customer with the help of road tanker.
