Content created by OLE Nepal includes a lessons and activities package directly related to the curriculum goals set out by the govt (E-Paath) and a free and open educational digital library (E-Pustakalaya), both of which can be accessed through the Internet as well as through a local intranet set up by the organization.

While these new resources empower students to engage in self-learning in a fun and interactive way, OLE Nepal still believes that teachers are fundamental to driving education and this new process forward. In order to enable teachers to professionally develop and collaborate with each other to improve children's learning, OLE Nepal has been working with the govt to train teachers to teach in this new way.

Additionally, since the only way for the project to be sustainable is for the government to be involved, OLE Nepal has also been capacity building the government to take on a project of this nature. OLE Nepal trains government trainers who in turn train teachers together with OLE Nepal trainers.

The model being implemented both bolsters the current education system as well as bridges the gap in access to information between different socio-economic realities and reminds us of the old adage "give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime." If we are to make progress in leaps and bounds, we must focus on treating problems rather than symptoms and this project aims to do just that.
