Midden-Groningen is een mooie moderne gemeente, een gemeente met 24 prachtige omringende dorpen, goed om in te leven en voor te werken; ruim, veelzijdig, compleet, uitdagend en altijd op zoek naar vooruitgang. De komende jaren investeert de gemeente in een nieuwe stadshart en in de leefbaarheid. De nieuwe uitvoeringstaken vanuit het Rijk op het gebied van de jeugd, de AWBZ en de WWnV worden de komende jaren gefaseerd opgepakt en geïmplementeerd. Met minder middelen is het de opgave om door samenwerking en integraliteit betere oplossingen in te voeren. Met de inrichting van een contactplein wordt de dienstverlening verder geoptimaliseerd.
