WESS also broadcasts Warrior's home athletic events all year long with play-by-play from our Sports Director and the sports crew.

If that isn't enough, Vintage radio programs (e.g. The Lone Ranger and The Whistler) are on-air from 9-10AM every weekday morning. This is not your typical radio station!

Students at ESU and in the East Stroudsburg area can listen in by tuning their radio dials to FM frequency 90.3, as well as tuning to Channel 14 or 15 on Cable TV in the dorms, or by listening online.

Although the station is on-campus, we are operating at 1000 watts, sending our signal out over a 15-30 mile radius in the Poconos and parts of northwestern New Jersey.

The purpose of WESS is to provide a means of student training and experience in radio broadcasting, and to provide East Stroudsburg University and the surrounding communities with alternative entertainment and educational programming.

The English-Speaking Union (ESU) is an international educational charity and membership organisation that believes in the power of spoken communication.

Through our educational programmes, competitions, cultural exchanges and advocacy we provide people with the skills to realise their full potential. We believe that good communication is essential to individual, community and cross-cultural development and understanding, and endeavour to ensure it is recognised as such.

The ESU works principally with young people, whilst also offering a number of programmes for school leavers and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities that encourage lifelong learning. lL'Esu di Padova è l'Azienda Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario.

Per diritto allo studio universitario si intende il complesso di norme che regolano gli interventi per assicurare agli studenti in particolari condizioni economiche la possibilità di acquisire titoli di studio universitari.

Gli interventi sono di vario tipo: aiuti finanziari, servizi abitativi, di ristorazione e iniziative a carattere culturale o altro; alcuni interventi vengono attribuiti sulla base di precisi criteri di reddito e merito e sono quindi riservati ad un numero limitato di studenti (concessi previo bando di concorso), mentre gli altri servizi sono concessi alla totalità degli studenti.

Lo Stato ha predisposto una seria di norme per ottimizzare ed organizzare tutto il sistema dei servizi suddividendo le competenze spettanti alle Università e quelle spettanti alle Regioni per effetto del decentramento amministrativo.

Per quanto riguarda quindi la Regione Veneto e in particolare Padova, i referenti per il Diritto allo Studio sono l'Ateneo Patavino e l'Esu di Padova.

La Legge Regionale n. 8 del 7 Aprile 1998 regolamenta i principi, gli obiettivi e gli interventi dell'Esu di Padova e si rivolge agli studenti regolarmente iscritti all'Università e agli studenti dei corsi superiori dei Conservatori di Musica.

Educational Service Unit #1 is one of seventeen ESUs statewide that provide services to Nebraska children through local school districts. ESU #1 serves children through K-12 schools in Cedar, Dakota, Dixon, Knox, Thurston and Wayne counties in Northeast Nebraska. ESU #1 is headquartered in Wakefield and provides a variety of special education, staff development, technology and media services to twenty-five school districts in its six-county area. ESU #1 also operates a Severe and Profoundly Handicapped Program and Behaviorally Disordered Program located at ESU #1 Tower School

in Wayne.

In 1965, the Nebraska Legislature created the Educational Service Unit system to provide supplemental services to school districts. ESUs are service-oriented, non-regulatory agencies designed to achieve a better balance of educational opportunities for students regardless of the population, financial differences, or geographic limitations of school districts.

The governing unit consists of an elected board of 9 members. Members are elected for four-year terms from nine distinct election districts. Meetings are conducted at 7:00 p.m. on the third Monday of each month.

Educational Service Unit 10 utilizes an advisory committee structure for the purpose of receiving feedback and developing recommendations for services that are provided to schools. Local school administrators and county superintendents are elected by their peers to serve on the Administrator Advisory Committee, which meets at least four times during the year. The recommendations of the committee are considered by the school districts in the ESU 10 area. Once two-thirds of the school districts that contain at least one-half of the student population approve the administrator advisory committee recommendations, the Board of Directors makes the final decisions concerning the program of services for the unit.

Educational Service Unit 10 employs 93 staff members who provide services to students in the counties of Blaine, Buffalo, Custer, Dawson, Garfield, Greeley, Hall, Howard, Loup, Sherman, and Valley. Included in these counties are 34 K-12 districts, 4 residential schools and 11 parochial schools. The area served covers approximately 9,325 square miles and includes an estimated 29,600 students in grades K-12.
