Dankzij de Wet Veiligheidsregio werken gemeenten samen in hetzelfde gebied, met dezelfde grenzen, samen met politie, brandweer en ambulancezorg. Hierdoor gaat vooral in de crisisbeheersing en rampenbestrijding de bestuurlijke en operationele slagkracht omhoog. Daarnaast regelt de wet de organisatie van de brandweerzorg, de geneeskundige hulpverlening en de organisatie van rampen- en crisisbeheersing.

De VNOG bestaat uit 22 gemeenten. Het bestuur van de VNOG, het Algemeen Bestuur, bestaat uit de 22 burgemeesters van de gemeenten. In het gebied wonen op een oppervlakte van 3.000km2 ruim 870.000 mensen.

De Veiligheidsregio Noord- en Oost-Gelderland kent een Dagelijks Bestuur (DB) en een Algemeen Bestuur (AB). Daarnaast is er een ambtelijke leiding die zorgdraagt voor de dagelijkse gang van zaken.

De ambtelijke leiding bestaat uit A. Schoenmaker, respectievelijk Directeur Brandweer/Regionaal Commandant en Directeur GHOR/Directeur Publieke Gezondheid van de Veiligheidsregio Noord- en Oost-Gelderland.

Het Algemeen Bestuur van de Veiligheidsregio Noord- en Oost-Gelderland bestaat uit alle burgemeesters van de gemeenten in onze regio. Zij komen in principe vier keer per jaar bij elkaar. De vergaderingen van het Algemeen Bestuur zijn openbaar.

Dagelijks Bestuur

De dagelijkse aansturing van de Veiligheidsregio Noord- en Oost-Gelderland is in handen van het Dagelijks Bestuur. Het Dagelijks Bestuur is gekozen uit het Algemeen Bestuur.

Volunteers of America Mid-States is a local affiliate of Volunteers of America, Inc. based in Alexandria, Virginia. Under a national charter, it provides services designed locally to address specific community needs.

Volunteers of America is governed by a voluntary 20-plus member Board of Directors, President & CEO Jennifer Hancock, and six vice-presidents. We employ a staff of more than 750 and engage approximately 500 volunteers each year.

Deze evenementen - waar iedereen iedereen ontmoet: bedrijfsleven, overheid, onderwijs, ondernemingsorganisaties, nutsbedrijven, vakorganisaties, pers, enz. - worden druk bezocht. Ook organiseren wij bijeenkomsten, waarbij de VOA-leden kenbaar kunnen maken wat hun mening is over uiteenlopende onderwerpen.

Founded in 2006 by East San Jose native and National Board Certified Teacher Frances Teso, Voices is a public charter school network with a mission to prepare all students for the challenges of higher education through the context of an academically rigorous dual-language program. Voices for Sudan is a 501(c)3 educational and charitable organization with deep roots in the Diaspora community, founded on the idea of serving an under-served community by representing them in the political realm. Our mission is to give a voice to the Sudanese and South Sudanese diaspora community in the global policy discussion to resolve the humanitarian crisis in the region. We believe that long-term and sustainable change in the region will only be made when the voices of those affected are heard and engaged.

Voices of September 11th (VOICES) was founded in 2001 by Mary Fetchet, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and mother of Brad Fetchet, who perished on 9/11. VOICES is the preeminent 9/11 organization providing a clearinghouse of information and a wide range of support services that promote resiliency and address the long-term needs of the 9/11 community. The organization fills a support gap that exists with its innovative approach to providing long-term continuity of care, using social work practices to address the evolving needs of impacted families.

VOICES is also committed to sharing its best practices with the 9/11 community to assist all communities in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from traumatic events over the long-term, and advocates for public policy reforms that promote national preparedness. VOICES is a non-profit, anti-poverty, grassroots, advocacy organization.
