Het begon allemaal in 1985. Simone van Veen, toen werkzaam als wijkziekenverzorgende, liep regelmatig tegen problemen met hulpmiddelen aan. De hulpmiddelen waren er simpelweg niet of ze verkeerden in een slechte staat. Dit moest anders!

Samen met Corien de Groot besloot Simone om Vegro Verpleegartikelen op te richten met als doelstelling: goede en schone hulpmiddelen aanbieden om de kwaliteit van leven te verbeteren.

Waar staan we nu? Vegro Verpleegartikelen is uitgegroeid tot een bedrijf met een landelijke dekking aan thuiszorgwinkels en uitleenpunten, een webwinkel en meerdere distributiecentra vanuit waar de uitleen, verhuur en verkoop van verpleegartikelen en hulpmiddelen wordt verzorgd.

The Company started its operations on April 16, 1999. Velcom renders mobile telecommunication services under velcom and PRIVET trademarks based on GSM (GPRS, EDGE), UMTS (HSDPA, HSUPA), Dual-Carrier HSDPA technologies in whole Belarus, as well as fixed internet services based on own optic-fiber network.

Since November 2007 velcom is a member of Telekom Austria Group (TAG), one of the most successful telecommunication holdings in the Central and Eastern Europe, which currently consists of a fixed net in Austria and eight mobile communication operational companies.

Velcrux Collective is a film and music production collective based in Oslo, Norway. Velcrux Collective also called just Velcrux consists of creatives in all audio and visual arts. Velcrux describes the process of innovative creative collaboration. Its an combination of the two words Velcro and Crux. Velcro meaning hook and loop fasteners, symbolizing collaboration that sticks and Crux meaning the vital or decisive stage, point or as a baffling problem or difficulty. Also used as a term in mountaineering to describe the most difficult and often decisive part of a climb or pitch.

The idea is that through collaboration and creativity all problems or cruxes can be solved.

Velcrux produces commercial films, documentaries, shorts, musicvideos in addition to photography and music. Velcrux is actively working towards producing a feature length film.

De Velddijk is een ZMOK-school die onderwijs en begeleiding op maat biedt aan jongeren van 12 tot en met 20 jaar met een (ernstige) gedragsstoornis en/of psychische problematiek.

Vanuit een integrale aanpak (maatwerk, specialistisch aanbod van scholing, arbeidsinpassing en arbeidstoeleiding evenals behandelingsprogramma's) wordt gezocht naar duurzame oplossingen die de

jongeren en ouders/verzorgers een toekomstperspectief bieden. De meeste jongeren hebben, vaak al vele jaren, ernstige gedragsproblemen en zijn vaak zeer moeilijk in de omgang met leeftijdsgenoten, volwassenen en de wereld om zich heen. Gerichte hulpverlening is vrijwel altijd nodig. De problemen zijn vaak zeer uiteenlopend. Om deze reden krijgt iedere jongere ‘een traject op maat' en wordt niet iedereen op dezelfde manier benaderd en aangepakt. Door de vele problemen is er vaak sprake van een flinke leerachterstand. Soms is deze in de verblijfstijd op De Velddijk niet meer in te halen. Uitgangspunt is vooral een uitdagende leer- en werkomgeving te creëren waarin jongeren zich thuis voelen, waar ze hun zelfvertrouwen weer enigszins kunnen herwinnen en weer perspectief krijgen op hun toekomst. Stimuleren van zelfstandigheid, zelfstuurbaarheid en zelfredzaamheid zijn in dit proces erg belangrijk. Dit wordt gerealiseerd middels een consequente en geduldige aanpak van docenten, deskundigen en hulpverlening.
