Univerzitná nemocnica Bratislava (UNB) je najväčším zdravotníckym zariadením na Slovensku. Tvorí ju päť nemocníc – Nemocnica Ružinov, Nemocnica akademika L. Dérera na Kramároch, Nemocnica sv. Cyrila a Metoda na Antolskej ulici, Nemocnica Staré Mesto na Mickiewiczovej ulici a Špecializovaná geriatrická nemocnica Podunajské Biskupice. Zamestnáva vyše 1 400 lekárov a 2 200 sestier, celkovo približne 6 000 zamestnancov. Je štátnou príspevkovou organizáciou, ktorej zriaďovateľom je Ministerstvo zdravotníctva SR. UNB je nástupcom Fakultnej nemocnice s poliklinikou Bratislava. Súčasný názov používa od 1. júla 2010.

V roku 2014 zaznamenala UNB historicky najvyššie čísla na strane výkonov. Pokorila hranicu 100 000 hospitalizácií ročne, počet operácií presiahol 56 000. UNCDF's financing models work through two channels: savings-led financial inclusion that expands the opportunities for individuals, households, and small businesses to participate in the local economy, providing them with the tools they need to climb out of poverty and manage their financial lives; and by showing how localized investments -- through fiscal decentralization, innovative municipal finance, and structured project finance -- can drive public and private funding that underpins local economic expansion and sustainable development. UNCDF financing models are applied in thematic areas where addressing barriers to finance at the local level can have a transformational effect for poor and excluded people and communities.

By strengthening how finance works for poor people at the household, small enterprise, and local infrastructure levels, UNCDF contributes to SDG 1 on eradicating poverty with a focus on reaching the last mile and addressing exclusion and inequalities of access. UNCF (United Negro College Fund) is the nation's largest private scholarship provider to minority students. During it's 73-year existence, UNCF has raised $4.7 billion to provide operating funds for 37 member historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and administer over 400 scholarships, fellowships, internships, mentoring initiatives, and summer enrichment programs for students at about 900 institutions. Each year UNCF awards scholarships to approximately 60,000 students to attend college and more than 8,000 receive degrees.
