The Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission is a new organisation established by the Child Maintenance and Other Payments Act 2008, following an in-depth review of child maintenance policy and delivery arrangements in this country. The Commission is responsible for the child maintenance system in Great Britain.

The Commission's key objective is to maximise the number of effective child maintenance arrangements that are in place, whether private or statutory. To achieve this aim, the Commission provides an information and support service (Child Maintenance Options) and oversees the statutory maintenance service currently run by the Child Support Agency. Over time, the Commission will improve arrangements for the assessment, collection and enforcement of child maintenance for parents using that service.

The Commission is a crown Non-Departmental Public Body, which means it operates at arms length from Government, enabling it to innovate and provide services how and through the mechanisms it chooses.

The integration of Citybus, Northern Ireland Railways and Ulsterbus began in January 1995 when the government announced comprehensive changes to the provision of public transport. Transmed was founded by Dr.Melike Kulahci and Reiner Paeffgen in Istanbul February, 1994 as an international medical center in order to offer state of the art hair transplantation surgery in Turkey.

Transmed has started to offer plastic and cosmetic surgery services along with hair restoration after moving in to its 6400 sq-ft new building in Levent in February 1997.

In June 2000, Transmed hosted the 3rd annual ESHRS meeting in Istanbul, Turkey with the participation of more then 150 Hair Restoration Surgeons from all over the world.

Due to her contributions to the ISHRS, The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery has elected Dr. Melike Kulahci-Paeffgen in October 2001 as a Governor of the Board of the ISHRS.

Transmed started to investigate and establish a noninvasive and scar-free extraction technique in October 2003. This technique is also known as the "Woods Technique' or 'FUE Technique'.
