We started in 2010 with the Familiar Forest Festival and since 2011 also with the Winter Festival.

De Stichting Humanitas Rotterdam (opgericht in 1959) heeft een lange traditie van vernieuwende initiatieven op het gebied van zorg, wonen en welzijn en maatschappelijke dienstverlening. Humanitas telt 35 vestigingen, 3.500 medewerkers en bijna 2.000 vrijwilligers. De stichting baarde de laatste decennia nationaal en internationaal opzien met haar op menselijk geluk gerichte zorgfilosofie. Humanitas hanteert daarbij vier kernwaarden:

- eigen regie over het leven

- eigen activiteit (use it or lose it)

- een positieve basishouding (ja-cultuur)

- een grote familie (niet zij/wij, maar een ‘extended family'-aanpak)

Deze basiswaarden geven tezamen via alle betrokken belangengroepen (managers, cliënten, medewerkers, familie en vrijwilligers) richting aan de organisatie.

Humanitas legt de nadruk op eigen activiteiten, leuke initiatieven en dingen die wél mogelijk zijn. Ouderen, partners en familie worden in een vrolijke omgeving en door een motiverende organisatie op een speelse manier zélf actief en worden met hun ervaringsdeskundigheid en inzet een grote steun voor de organisatie.

Niet elke verjaardag is een feestje!

Want wist u dat in Nederland ruim 60.000 kinderen hun verjaardag niet kunnen vieren? Gewoon omdat er thuis te weinig geld is. Op de mooiste dag van het jaar krijgen zij geen cadeautje, hangen er geen vrolijke ballonnen en kunnen ze niet trakteren op school. Uit schaamte melden ze zich soms zelfs ziek.

Jarige Job maakt een einde aan dit verjaardagsleed en trakteert kinderen uit de armste gezinnen in de samenleving op een leuke dag. Jarige Job geeft geen geld maar een Verjaardagsbox met alles erop en eraan. Zoals versiering, traktaties voor de klas en de leraren, wat lekkers voor de visite en natuurlijk een mooi cadeau

Op 1 augustus 2005 is, door verzelfstandiging van het openbaar onderwijs in vier verschillende gemeenten, de Stichting Klasse opgericht. Per 1 augustus 2008 zijn de openbare basisscholen in Woerden, Harmelen en Zegveld ook ondergebracht bij stichting Klasse.

In totaal zijn er 20 onderwijslocaties: 15 basisscholen, 1 school voor speciaal basisonderwijs en 1 school voor speciaal -en voortgezet speciaal onderwijs (ZMLK)

Stichting Klasse heeft scholen staan in: Bodegraven, Gouda, Reeuwijk, Waddinxveen, Woerden, Zegveld en Harmelen.

Het kantoor van de stichting is gevestigd in Reeuwijk-brug.

Over stichting Kwest

Opvang in de breedste zin van het woord, want Kwest biedt dagopvang, peuteropvang, gastouderopvang, buitenschoolse opvang en tussenschoolse opvang. Stichting Kwest staat voor vertrouwde kinderopvang in gemeente Westland. En voor plezier en kwaliteit in kinderopvang. Bij Kwest staan kinderen, hun ouders/verzorgers en de opvang van kinderen centraal. In diverse dorpskernen verzorgen wij de verschillende vormen van opvang voor kinderen van 0 tot 13 jaar. Met het gastouderbureau bieden wij tevens kleinschalige en flexibele opvang in heel gemeente Westland. Met diverse locaties voor kinderopvang is er altijd wel een geschikte opvang bij u in de buurt.

Onze opvang is kleinschalig, in een huiselijke omgeving en met gediplomeerde pedagogisch medewerkers. We vinden het belangrijk dat kinderen zich bij ons thuis voelen en bieden ze een veilige, vertrouwde speelomgeving. We streven altijd naar zoveel mogelijk bekende gezichten op de groep, zodat dat voor u en uw kind vertrouwd is.

Wij bieden méér dan alleen deskundige verzorging, hygiëne en veiligheid. Onze medewerkers zijn goed opgeleid, worden voortdurend geschoold en werken met speciale programma's die de ontwikkeling van uw kind stimuleren. Kinderen vinden het leuk om nieuwe vaardigheden onder de knie te krijgen. Bij stichting Kwest krijgen kinderen de ruimte om hun enthousiasme en leergierigheid te ontplooien.

LVO geeft Limburg toekomst

28.000 leerlingen, ruim 3.000 medewerkers verdeeld over 21 scholen verspreid over heel Limburg. Al die mensen en scholen vormen samen Stichting Limburgs Voortgezet Onderwijs (LVO). LVO is de grootste werkgever binnen het voortgezet onderwijs in Limburg en één van de grootste in Nederland.

Onze scholen zijn juist kleinschalig, want dan kun je echt aandacht hebben voor elkaar. In een veilige omgeving waarin je elkaar kent en respecteert werken deskundige docenten samen om leerlingen hun talenten te laten ontdekken en ontwikkelen. Betrokken medewerkers die stáán voor onderwijskwaliteit. Die er samen voor willen zorgen dat leerlingen lekker in hun vel zitten en het maximale uit zichzelf halen. Stichting on Wheels zet zich al 15 jaar in voor kinderen met een ernstige beperking, zoals de ziekte van Duchenne. Graag bieden wij deze kinderen en hun ouders ook eens het ongebonden vakantiegevoel of een onbezorgd dagje uit! Dat maken we mogelijk door de verhuur van aangepaste vervoer- en kampeermiddelen, chalets en de organisatie van leuke activiteiten.

Old Church Slavonic Institute in Zagreb, founded in 1952, is devoted to the research of the Croatian language and literature from the time when the Croats, first in their principality, later in their kingdom, participated with other European peoples in establishing the historical, political, spiritual, and civilization foundations of modern Europe. Therefore, the scholars of the Old Church Slavonic Institute study the medieval chapter of the Croatian language and literary culture. The Croatian medieval language and literary culture has a significant Latin part as Latin is the first literary language in Croatia, while the Croatian vernacular literature is written in three scripts: Glagolitic, Latin and Croatian Cyrillic. Today's Stine began in 1952, as our founder, J. W. Stine, and his partner, J.C. Carlin, established the 'Starlin Lumber Company' in Sulphur, Louisiana, to supply their needs as residential building contractors. J.W. and J.C. met when both were bomber pilots in Europe during WWII. Their business partnership began after the war, and the competition was fierce.

Business rocked along when, beginning in 1966, the first of all six Stine sons joined Starlin. In 1974, six of Starlin ten employees were Stines (Carlin having left the company in the early fifties), and the name was changed to 'Stine Lumber'.

Of course, the home improvement industry has its own history, beginning much as Stine did with those so-called 'contractor yards'. As more homeowners and do-it-yourselfers wanted to buy materials to do their own work, the concept of the Home Improvement Center came into vogue in the early seventies. Stine successes continued as we began to cater to the D-I-Y market. Our retail business has exploded over the years, and accounts for about two-thirds of our sales each year, with builder sales making up the balance. Stine is among the Top-100 building materials dealers in America. Our association with Ace Hardware has been successful as well; sales figures place us fourth among all 6,000 Ace retailers worldwide!

History

In 1945, Clifford L. Stivers founded a temporary help company to meet the growing demand for temporary clerical services in Chicago. A pioneer in the temporary services industry, Stivers devised his own system of testing skills, hired a statistician to validate test scores, and instituted the concept of quality control.

He expanded to Chicago's suburbs in the early 1950s, established branch offices on both coasts in the 1960s, and gradually added offices in major cities in the United States and Canada.
