Created in 1985,'SEVILLA ACOGE" Foundation is involved in the aid and promotion of social and occupational integration of immigrants settled in the province of Seville. At that time, Spain was being transformed from a country of economic and political emigration to a country of sustained immigration. The somewhat unexpected turning point took place in 1985 when Spain gradually became a major destination for immigration within Europe. In this context, was born Sevilla Acoge, being the first specialized initiative in both fields of immigration and cultural diversity management. Aware of the necessity to spread the accumulated experience, it contributed to create and lead the 'Acoge' movement, spread throughout the autonomous region of Andalucía. Nowadays, it is a member of the board of "CEPAIM" Foundation, a state organization involved in migration issues in Spain. In addition, Sevilla Acoge is part of national and transnational networks. The programs, projects and activities of Sevilla Acoge are funded by grants from official and private agencies and private donations. Most of its activities are carried out by volunteers.

Dejando atrás la errónea concepción sobre la exclusividad de la ópera, se propone experimentar dicho arte con espectáculos en directo y al natural tanto en su parte vocal como musical, sin ningún tipo de amplificación, y en un formato en el que se hace partícipe al espectador del desarrollo de la obra representada.

Dos son los espectáculos que proponemos para esta II Temporada, los cuales irán rotando en su representación (cada viernes y sábado, a las 21 horas).

Personajes de Óperas de Sevilla y Gala Lírica

Un espectáculo lírico de dos horas aprox. de duración (estructurado en tres actos), con el que el espectador podrá sumergirse en la Sevilla de Carmen, El Barbero o Don Giovanni.

El programa se completa con una gala lírica en la que se interpretan arias de otras óperas, Zarzuela o música italiana, entre otras.

Carmen y su Sentir Flamenco

Estructurado también en tres actos, de duración aprox. al programa anterior, Carmen y su Sentir Flamenco es la apuesta de este año de Sevilla de Ópera.

Una representación extendida de nuestra readaptación de la ópera Carmen de Bizet con intervenciones de flamenco en estado puro con el que se pretende envolver al espectador, durante las dos horas de puesta en escena, en el embrujo y la fuerza de Carmen.

The Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA) is a labour union of poor self-employed women workers in the informal economy. Since its inception in 1972 by Smt. Ela Bhatt in Gujarat, SEWA has actively employed women with no employer or fixed employer-employee relationship. These women are often not represented by traditional trade unions, and their methods of organisation cannot be employed in a sector in which the work and employers are not recognised. SEWA was born in the shape of a confluence of three movements: labour, cooperative and women.

The rapid progress made by SEWA in organising women in Gujarat lead to a demand for creation of similar organisations in other states too. SEWA Bharat was thus set up in 1982 in response to this demand. Its main aim is to facilitate the formation of new member organisations across the country and to promote their growth and development.

SEWA Bharat is, therefore, a federation of SEWA member organisations, with the mandate to highlight issues concerning women working in the informal sector, and to strengthen the capacity of the organisations that serve the interests of these women. Presently nine such SEWA member organisations are working in 50 districts of Nine states, and together they accounted for a total membership around 13 lakhs and counting.

In the year 1960, Sri. Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao, founded 'Southern Engineering Works' (SEW) in Vijaywada, A.P. India, to pursue civil engineering construction activities. Subsequently late Sri Y. Purnachandra Rao and Sri Y.M.G. Nageswara Rao joined the company and contributed to the growth of the organization. The first project SEW worked on, was the prestigious Nagarjuna Sagar Dam in Andhra Pradesh.

The Marine Science Institute was founded in 1970, around the time that the issue of water resources was becoming a major concern for many Bay Area inhabitants. The Institute's philosophy was founded on the idea that putting students in direct physical contact with their local bay environment will help cultivate their natural sense of curiosity while enriching their understanding of science and fostering a responsibility to protect their environment.

Prior to 1970, no bridge existed between environmental concerns and education in the San Francisco Bay area. Few opportunities existed for students to get hands-on experience with the flora and fauna of San Francisco Bay. As one Bay Area professor remarked at the time, 'On a clear day we can see the Bay, but there is no way for my students to get their hands wet--in real water.'

The Discovery Voyage was the first program created that met with great success at the Institute's formation. In 1992 the Institute created land-based programs. These programs include the Shoreside program, the Inland Voyage, and the Tidepool program, which takes place at Pillar Point in Half Moon Bay. In our first year, the Discovery Program served about 4,000 students. Today, we average roughly 50,000 students and adults through all of our programs combined. We are proud to maintain high quality programs, led by expert instructors, earning us Great Nonprofits 'Top-rated Nonprofit' status for multiple years.

San Francisco City Football Club is a non-profit, supporter-owned club competing in the PDL. In January 2015, SF City FC became the first team from San Francisco to qualify for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup since the California Victory in 2007. SF City won the NorCal Premier League in 2014, thus becoming the sole representative from U.S. Club Soccer for the 2015 tournament.

In April 2015, SF City FC fell 2-1 to Cal FC in the play-in round of the 2015 U.S. Open Cup.
