The Northeast Animal Shelter, established in 1976, is one of New England's largest nonprofit shelters that does not destroy any of the pets entrusted to its care. We have placed thousands of dogs and cats since we opened our doors.

We are located just a half hour north of Boston and easily accessible to all of New England. Being open 7 days a week makes the adoption of a pet convenient for the general public and enables us to place all our homeless dogs and cats.

As soon as a dog or cat arrives at our facility, our staff begins searching for the perfect match -- a family who is just right and will give the pet a wonderful home. While waiting for a forever home, our dogs and cats receive the best of care.

Since each animal's care is individualized, this may involve obedience training, a visit with the local groomer, a special blanket, or a home cooked diet. All of our pets are inoculated, wormed, and spayed or neutered at the appropriate age.

The Shelter has developed many programs such as Puppies Across America, Sato Rescue, Greyhound Rescue, Mother Animal Spay, Humane Education, Foster Care, Stray Cat Rescue, and Senior Visitation.

Neder-Betuwe is een gemeente in de Nederlandse provincie Gelderland. De gemeente telt 22.561 inwoners (31 dec. 2008, bron: CBS) en heeft een oppervlakte van 68,11 km² (waarvan 6,99 km² water).

De gemeente ontstond op 1 januari 2002 door de fusie van de gemeenten Dodewaard, Echteld en Kesteren. Tussen 1 januari 2002 en 1 april 2003 heette deze fusiegemeente 'Kesteren'​. Later is deze naam veranderd in gemeente Neder-Betuwe.

De gemeente Neder-Betuwe ligt in de gelijknamige streek en wordt aan de oostzijde begrensd door de gemeente Overbetuwe en aan de westzijde door de gemeenten Buren en Tiel. In het noorden vormt de rivier de Rijn de grens, in het zuiden de rivier de Waal. In het westen vormt het Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal over korte afstand de grens.

Het meest oostelijk gelegen dorp is Dodewaard, het meest westelijk gelegen dorp Echteld. Aan de Rijn liggen de dorpen Kesteren en Opheusden, aan de Waal de dorpen IJzendoorn en Ochten. Tot de gemeente behoren drie buurtschappen. Hien en Wely liggen oostelijk van Dodewaard, Eldik ligt tussen Dodewaard en Ochten in.

De gemeente wordt van oost naar west doorkruist door de A15. De dorpen Echteld en IJzendoorn kunnen worden bereikt via afslag 34, Kesteren en Ochten via afslag 35 en Dodewaard en Opheusden via afslag 36.

Via het spoor is de gemeente eveneens te bereiken. De spoorlijn Tiel-Arnhem doorkruist de gemeente met stations in Kesteren, Opheusden en Dodewaard. De Betuweroute doorkruist de gemeente van oost naar west.

The Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam is the leading national museum of photography in the Netherlands. It has an impressive collection of 5.5 million photographic images and exhibits every facet of photography: documentary and experimental, contemporary and historical. Exhibitions

The collection

The Nederlands Fotomuseum is currently responsible for 166 archives of Dutch photographers. It therefore manages an important part of the visual heritage of the Netherlands. Ed van der Elsken, Aart Klein and Cas Oorthuys are just a few examples of 19th and 20th-century photographers whose entire archives are conserved by the museum. Work by contemporary photographers like Bertien van Manen, Hans van der Meer, Vincent Mentzel, Viviane Sassen and Mieke Van de Voort is also represented in the collection. The collection expands year on year as a result of donations, legacies and purchases. A proportion of it can be viewed digitally via the website.

The Nederlands Fotomuseum is the only museum in the Netherlands to possess an in-house conservation studio for photography. The studio not only conserves the museum's own collection, but also works on the photographic collections of other museums, private individuals, archives and companies.
