Introduction

Moorpark College opened September 11, 1967, with 2,500 students. The campus is located at the eastern edge of the city of Moorpark. MC is one of the most beautiful community colleges in California. The 150-acre campus is a short drive from the Thousand Oaks/Agoura Hills areas and is situated near the city of Simi Valley. It includes 15 buildings, a football stadium, track, other athletic facilities, a public zoo, and an observatory. Moorpark College is one of the three colleges in the Ventura County Community College District, and part of the California Community College system of 109 community colleges. MC offers two semesters throughout the year (Fall and Spring) in addition to a summer session (May through August).

Moosehead Breweries and its long-time owner, the Oland family, is the last of the independent Canadian beer companies. The brewery is located in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.

Mooseheart is a private residential community and school that serves children who are in need of an alternative living environment for a wide variety of reasons. Living in single-family homes on a 1,000-acre campus, children are cared for by highly trained Family Teachers who work with them toward the mastery of social/independent living skills. Those successfully graduating high school from the program have an opportunity to earn scholarship monies to the college or university of their choice.

The Manitoba Moose compete in the American Hockey League and are based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club is owned and operated by True North Sports & Entertainment. Located at 300 Portage Ave in downtown Winnipeg, the Moose call the MTS Centre their home and have since the building opened its doors in November of 2004. The inagural season of the Manitoba Moose was 1996-97.
