Milieu Express is een toonaangevend milieubedrijf in Zuid-Holland, gespecialiseerd in afval verwerking en recycling. Ruim 93% van de ingezamelde afvalstoffen en reststoffen wordt gerecycled en nuttig hergebruikt. Hetgeen volledig in lijn ligt met de missie: ‘making more from waste'. Milieu Express regelt alles op het gebied van afval en afvalverwerking op een duurzame manier.

Milieu Service Nederland b.v. is opgericht in 1986, in een tijd waarin het scheiden van afvalstromen langzaam in opmars kwam. Papier en karton werden meer en meer apart ingezameld van het bedrijfsafval, zodat het recyclingproces eenvoudiger en efficiënter werd. Ook produceerden bedrijven door onder andere toenemend computergebruik steeds meer vertrouwelijke documenten, die op een veilige manier dienden te worden vernietigd.

Mede door de steeds strenger wordende milieuvoorschriften heeft het scheiden van afvalstromen de laatste twintig jaar een grote vlucht genomen. Milieu Service Nederland b.v. heeft haar activiteiten daarom flink weten uit te breiden. De verandering van eigenaar, in juli 2000, heeft hier flink aan bijgedragen. Sindsdien is het aantal medewerkers sterk gegroeid en is Milieu Service Nederland b.v. uitgegroeid tot een bekende landelijke speler in de afvalbranche.

Al met al streeft Milieu Service Nederland b.v. ernaar met de laagste tarieven, het grootste assortiment afvalcontainers en door milieubewust te handelen de allerbeste afvalinzamelaar van Nederland te zijn!

Langzaam maar zeker krijgt het boeddhisme in ons taalgebied een eigen stem. Ontwikkelingen als de aanvraag van een zendmachtiging namens grote groepen boeddhisten in Nederland, de frequente ontmoetingen tussen vertegenwoordigers van boeddhistische en andere geestelijke stromingen in Nederland en Vlaanderen, maar ook bijvoorbeeld de ingebruikname van tempels voor de gezamenlijke beoefening door allochtone boeddhisten, maken steeds meer mensen ervan bewust dat het boeddhisme een in maatschappelijk en cultureel opzicht belangrijke onderstroom vormt.

De toenemende aandacht die de media, en vooral de ‘serieuze' media, aan het boeddhisme schenken, biedt boeddhisten gelegenheid een genuanceerd geluid te laten horen, en aandacht te vragen voor het andere perspectief op mens en samenleving dat de beoefening van de dharma inhoudt. Een en ander leidt ertoe dat het boeddhistisch gedachtegoed nu soms vertolkt wordt op niveaus binnen ons maatschappelijk bestel waarvan dat nog maar enkele jaren geleden moeilijk voorstelbaar was.

Asoka blijft zich ervoor inzetten het boeddhisme in al zijn verscheidenheid toegankelijk te maken door het zorgvuldig en op herkenbare wijze uitgeven van titels die de lezer in staat stellen zelf zijn standpunt ten aanzien van de dharma te bepalen. Langs deze weg dragen wij hopelijk bij aan het geleidelijk ontstaan van een eigen, westerse vorm van boeddhisme die de dharma blijvend deel doet uitmaken van onze cultuur.

In 1958, Mr. Bazemore opened his shop in a small building on the corner of Capital Blvd and Durant Road. Buying mill ends from many of the fabric mills here in NC, he was able to offer fabrics to his customers at discount prices. As his business grew, so did his following of loyal customers. By 1965, Mill Outlet moved to the location at the intersection of Capital Blvd and Gresham Lake Rd. He added on buildings as the business grew, and grew, and grew.

He was a tenacious business man who earned the respect of his employees and the loyalty of his customers. He and his wife raised two sons, Mike and Garvey and they both grew up learning and working in the business.

Mr. Bazemore opened stores in other locations as the years went on. We still have locations in Wilmington, New Bern and Clinton today. After his passing in 1992, Mike and Garvey took over the business. In 1993, they moved it to its current location where they were able to house the business all under one roof. Many have said that Mill Outlet Village is like several small stores because of the wide variety of supplies we offer.

Staying true to what their father envisioned, Mike and Garvey strive to keep their prices low and their selection huge. If we do not carry what it is you are looking for, please ask.
