Established in 1969, Maritime Resident Doctors represents the interests of over 550 resident physicians training at Dalhousie University. These residents work in hospitals and health centres throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

Maritime Resident Doctors is a non-profit, volunteer organization, run by a Board of Directors made up of residents. The staff consists of an CEO, Manager of Communications, Manager of Health & Wellness, Financial Coordinator and Office Coordinator. We take our name from the credit union formed in 1949 to serve the employees of Mercury Marine, world-class manufacturer of outboard motors, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Today, our team of more than 400 employees serves 60,000 members across Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota and Illinois. We see our members as people, first and foremost.
