The history of Mais Alghanim Restaurant dates back to the previous century when our founding father Edmond Barakat (Abu Emile), opened a canteen for the employees of Yusuf Ahmed Alghanim & Sons Co., called "Mess Alghanim". Over time, strong ties and personal relations grew between Abu Emile, Kuwaiti, and Expatriate Families extending over three phases and three generations. The first phase commenced in 1953 during which complete meals and take-away services were offered transforming the canteen into a restaurant for one and all.

In 1974, Emile Barakat (Abu Edmond) presided over the business from his late father marking the beginning of the second phase. Under his leadership, the restaurant moved to the old Kuwait television station in 1987 where it was registered at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the name of Yusuf Ahmed Alghanim & Sons Co. It was at this time that the name was changed from "Mess Alghanim" to "Mais Alghanim".

Abu Edmond's vision also brought Mais Alghanim forward into the third phase to its present location in 2003, a building of true traditional Kuwaiti design, preserving the heritage and genuine tradition. Hence, after more than 50 years of successful service, the late Abu Edmond's brothers and eldest son continue to welcome you with the same spirit through Generations of Genuine Hospitality, and Good Food.

Maison Margiela is a French fashion house founded in Paris in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. The creative collective is a signature of the Maison which, since 2014, thrives under the guidance of Creative Director John Galliano.

Since 2004, the headquarters of the fashion house are based in an eighteenth century convent that was repurposed as a boys' industrial-design school. The Maison's original white walls remain scuffed, revealing creative and mysterious tales of sartorial tailoring, reinvention and deconstruction.

In 1982, it shut down, but the owner family kept archived the 100 years old print collection. 30 years after, moved by this lost treasure, the Grandson of the latest owner along with designers decided to reuse Maison Martin Morel archive to create up to date fashion products.

L'Hotel è situato nell'antica stazione neoclassica di Viale Monte Grappa 12 che fu aperta nel 1840 per la tratta Milano-Monza.

Le facciate esterne sono state ristrutturate in maniera fedele all'originale, mentre l'interno è stato pienamente interpretato secondo lo stile Moschino. Divise su quattro piani, le 65 camere e junior suites sono tutte diverse tra di loro. Al piano terra la hall e il bar introducono gli ospiti nell'hotel e il ristorante si estende dal livello della hall fino alla terrazza, mentre la SPA e la palestra si trovano nei piani interrati.

Il fil rouge che accomuna le stanze è il tema delle favole, perché dormire è sognare e i sogni sono favole che ci permettono di vivere le esperienze in prima persona; fiabe da un mondo fantastico che ci siamo creati. E' una vita alternativa in cui dirigiamo e insceniamo i copioni di una recita a soggetto. L'interno dell'Hotel rispecchia lo stile distintivo di Moschino dove il mondo ordinario è dipinto da una pennellata di surrealismo.

On the contrary, they present temporary installations grouping several contributors: collectors, artists and others, with a passion for the arts in common. Each installation features a main theme that serves as a thread to the subjective (and often unexpected) selection offered by the various guest-collectors. This unique space is truly a place to engage in exchange.

Since its opening in spring 2011, Maison Particulière has welcomed more than 30.000 visitors. Central to their appreciation of the art center is the special atmosphere dedicated to conversation, thanks to the opportunity to settle comfortably, make oneself at home, and simply live with the art.
