The Louisiana State University Agricultural Center, known as the LSU AgCenter, is one of 11 institutions within the Louisiana State University System. De Landelijke Vereniging Natuurlijke Geneeswijzen (LVNG) is een beroepsvereniging van natuurgeneeskundig therapeuten. De LVNG is opgericht in 1989. De vereniging telt ongeveer 400 leden. Het doel van de vereniging is het bevorderen en ontwikkelen van de natuurlijke gezondheidszorg in Nederland en daarnaast het streven naar maatschappelijke en wettelijke erkenning van de natuurgeneeskundige therapeut. Het uitgangspunt van de LVNG is een holistische benadering: De mens wordt gezien als één geheel. Lichaam, geest en ziel zijn onlosmakelijk met elkaar verbonden. Vanuit deze visie staat de mens centraal in plaats van de ziekte. De LVNG onderscheidt zich van andere beroepsverenigingen omdat zij gekozen heeft voor meerdere specialismen binnen één vereniging. De LVNG onderscheidt vier disciplines: kinesiologie, natuurgeneeskunde, energetische geneeskunde en reflexzone-therapie. Alle LVNG therapeuten dragen de titel Natuurgeneeskundig Therapeut.
