In 1954, this unified legislative system was put into effect when the United States Congress passed the Revised Organic Act of 1954. This act created a unicameral body in which all legislative power was vested. For the first time since 1863, the government of the Virgin Islands was fused into one entity. With that move, the V.I. Legislature had finally evolved into its present form. It is now a body with the rights and powers enjoyed by most state legislatures of the Union.

The Legislature is one of three co-equal branches of the Government of the Virgin Islands of the United States, with its own powers delegated by the Revised Organic Act of 1954, passed by the U.S. Congress, which established our local government. The other two branches are the Executive Branch, headed by the Governor and is responsible for administering the laws passed by the Legislature; and the Courts, usually called the Judiciary, which interprets the laws passed.

Former 'Institute for Molecular Biotechnology (IMB)'​ was renamed 'Leibniz Institute for Age Research - Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI)'​ and thereby became the first national research institute in Germany dedicated to broad biomedical research on aging. In 2012, internationally renowned stem cell expert Professor Karl Lenhard Rudolph joined the FLI as new Scientific Director, bringing with him an emphasis on the molecular, genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of stem cell aging and the diminishment of organ maintenance during aging. Since then, the FLI has been the only research institute in Germany focussing on this increasingly important research field. In 2015, the institute's name was modified to better define its research focus: Leibniz Institute on Aging - Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI).

The INM – Leibniz Institute for New Materials, situated in Saarbrücken (Germany), engages in fundamental and applied materials research – from molecules to pilot production. 2) Capacity building: The ZMT is involved in the education of students and young scientists from all over the world in the field of tropical marine ecology. In tropical countries, it further supports capacity building in the area of research.

3) Consulting: The ZMT is a national and international focal point for research, educational and government institutions for the exchange of expert knowledge in the field of tropical marine ecology.

Et de nombreux aménagements pour se cacher, jouer, grimper, dormir…

Les 17 chambres peuvent accueillir jusqu'à 80 chats en pension complète (le tarif journalier est de 15,50 euros en haute saison, et 14,50 euros en basse saison). Outre les demandes classiques liées à un départ en week-end ou en vacances, à une hospitalisation, à des déplacements professionnels. Les tarifs sont dégressifs pour les longs séjours.
