From the first day someone joins the business and starts their induction we provide a prescriptive plan straight away on what training they need and can expect and what they need to achieve in order to get promoted. That starts with the issue of their Lauristons passport, to take them on a journey around the business in the first three months, to meet all their colleagues, to visit every branch and to understand what everyone does, get a feel for our culture and what we are trying to achieve. This culminates in a private meeting with the Managing Director to give their insights and feedback on what they have seen before being signed off to continue working in the firm . As per our survey, the culture of our business is based on doing and being the best we can be, offering our customers the best experience we can, and caring about what we do. Its not a strap line, the management team believe it and so do 97% of the company.

We take compliance and our responsibilities to our customers very seriously, and recognise that many peoples welfare and prosperity are dependent on what we do and how we do it, so a strong moral code and integrity exists in the business, that is again borne out by what the guys said in the survey. Every single person that potentially joins the business is interviewed by the Sales or Lettings Director and then by the Managing Director to make sure any successful candidates are made of the right stuff. It still may not be full proof though as, if 89% of people are proud to work for Lauristons, then 11% of people are not, as are the 3% who don't think we offer good quality products or services, but we always try and make sure we have the best fit of people coming in who share our values and our work ethic, and if you are one of those people, you will have a whale of a time.
