Larusmiani is the oldest luxury clothing and tailoring brand on Via Montenapoleone, the heart of Milan's fashion district and emblem of Italian style. Guglielmo Miani first established his tailoring business in 1922 in Milan. His creativity and determination meant he soon made a name for himself and gained the esteem of artists, men of letters, politicians and businessmen.

A key factor in business's success, in addition to bespoke suits, was the production of raincoats, begun in 1936, the year when English trench coats started to be in vogue.
