Prohibition was coming to an end, and Esther and Jack Houston opened the House of Vintages store in downtown Portland in 1933, offering wine and spirits to their patrons. U kunt bij ons terecht voor houten zwembaden van Gardipool, Zodiac Original zwembaden, indrapools (volledig ingegraven) en skymirror (monoblok) baden. Twin screw pumps - the original design

Houttuin's original design provided the blueprint for today's so called twin-screw positive displacement rotary pumps. Based on the Archimedean principle, two intermeshing screws on parallel shafts operate inside a close fitting, 8-shaped liner. Liquids are pumped from both ends into the pump's centre body where the discharge is located. The short shaft is driven by the long shaft through a set of external precision timing gears.

Houttuin twin-screw pumps feature a clearance between the screws and external timing gears on each shaft. These precision gears prevent screw contact by maintaining a constant space between the screws. The major advantages of this design are less wear on the screws (and, as a result, prolonged life of the pumps), less chance of liquid contamination by metal particles (swarf) during pumping and reduced risk of damage if the pump should run dry.

Anlegget omfatter dessuten ei internasjonalt godkjent konkurranseløype (Vestbakken 'FIS-løype'), terrengpark og har flombelysning, skiutleie, skishop og kafeteria, afterski og bistro.

Bukkerittet, terrengparken, er bygget opp av rails og bokser og byr på hopp, wavepipe, windlips og skogskjøring i sort, rød og grønn bane.

Tusseland, barnas skiområde, har lettere bakker, aktiviteter, egen varmestue samt barnepass. I 2009 ble Tusseland utvidet med et lengre skibånd på 80 meter med to skjermede løyper for de aller minste. Området har en skikarusell for ski og lek som også brukes for å lære svingteknikk i skiskolen.

How United Services was established in the State of Qatar in 2000 by Interserve UK and Al Darwish United. Its purpose was to deliver industry-leading Mechanical, Electrical, Power and Maintenance services to a wide range of clients. Throughout the last decade Qatar has witnessed development at an astounding pace.

Today the company maintains a core of experienced staff and directly employed site operatives of over 1000 people. Operations are supported by strategically located staff and operative bases with logistical support provided via central stores, dedicated plant and duct / fabrication facilities.
