The Highveld Horse Care Unit (HHCU) is a non-Profit welfare organisation that specializes in and covers all aspects of welfare for horses and donkeys throughout a large part of South Africa.

Our work involves investigation into allegations of cruelty to equines, and prosecution where necessary. We rehabilitate and rehome equines. We have a township 'outreach clinic' programme that assists working horses and donkeys and their owners through assistance and education. We also have a branch in the Eastern Cape which tends to the welfare of working horses and donkeys in townships.

As the oldest and largest equine welfare group in Tennessee, our mission calls us to advocate for, shelter, care, and rehabilitate neglected and abused equine in Tennessee. Horse Haven holds these animals as evidence for the courts. Once the courts have released the equine, Horse Haven re-homes them through adoption. As of July 2015, more than 875 horses have found their way into our care. When called upon, we assist law enforcement in investigations and preparation for court cases. Horse Haven provides these services at no cost to any county within the state of Tennessee.

Since our beginnings, hospice care has been the cornerstone of the Hospice & Palliative CareCenter; but over the years, we have introduced new and expanded programs. These programs include grief counseling and advance care planning—both free of charge—for anyone in the community, as well as expanded palliative care services designed to meet the needs of patients earlier in the disease process. We reached an important milestone in 1998 when we opened our Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home so that we could provide around-the-clock care to our patients and families who need short-term inpatient care or respite care.

Hospice of the Chesapeake's mission is to care for life throughout the journey with illness and loss.

Hospice of the Chesapeake provides physical, psycho-social and spiritual support services to individuals living with and affected by advanced illness. These services are provided wherever the patient calls home. Hospice of the Chesapeake is committed to providing the best possible care for all regardless of their inability to pay. Using a team-oriented approach involving our physicians, nurses, social workers, home health aides, chaplains and counselors, allows us to ensure quality and compassionate care. Additionally, grief support services are available to all members of the community who have lost a loved one including community members who have experienced traumatic or sudden loss. When care at home is not possible, we can provide services at our inpatient care center.

The Chesapeake Life Center at Hospice of the Chesapeake provides individual grief counseling and support groups for a variety of populations including adults who have lost a loved one, children and teens, and survivors of homicide and suicide. Through Chesapeake Life Center, we operate two weekend camps for grieving children and teens. We are unique in that we provide grief support services to anyone in the community seeking support including those who have experienced a traumatic or sudden loss. The scope of services far exceeds that which is provided for in the Medicare Hospice Benefit.

Hospice & Community Care's mission to provide hospice services and give hope, comfort and compassion to our community when needed most.

Our interdisciplinary team includes board-certified physicians, hospice-trained registered nurses and certified nursing assistants, licensed social workers, bereavement counselors and spiritual care leaders. Community Hospice is a nonprofit organization that has served residents in the Central Valley since 1979. Community Hospice offers dignified and compassionate end-of-life medical, nursing and emotional care. Utilizing an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and others, Community Hospice is committed to providing compassionate care to patients and their families, regardless of ability to pay.

Hospice in the Weald is a charity providing compassionate, individualised, holistic and supportive care for all people with a terminal illness, their families, and carers. Serving communities across West Kent and East Sussex, we provide Hospice care through our Hospice Day Service, Hospice in the Home, Counselling Support Service, In-Patient Ward, and from next year, at the UK's first Cottage Hospice.

It costs over £7 million to run the Hospice with only 11% of our funding provided by the government.
