Brewery Het Anker started brewing beer 5 generations ago in the Grand Beguinage of Mechelen. Throughout the years, it became an internationally renowned brewery. In the ‘Molenberg' family farm in Blaasveld, Gouden Carolus Single Malt is distilled from the mash of the beer Gouden Carolus Tripel. The ensuing aging in ex-Bourbon casks followed by a further aging in Het Anker casks results in a refined whisky with a full-bodied and balanced taste. Both family traditions - distilling and brewing - were combined in this project.

Stop by, and discover how Het Anker - as one of the oldest breweries in Belgium (1471) - preserved the authenticity of far-off days. The on-site brasserie and hotel guarantee a unique taste experience of the famous beers of Mechelen. Enjoy!

Het Assink lyceum is een toonaangevende samenwerkingsschool in de regio Zuid-Twente en Noordoost Achterhoek. Het is een brede school die onderwijs biedt aan leerlingen van het vmbo, havo en vwo. De school heeft vijf locaties in Eibergen, Haaksbergen en Neede.

The Carolus Clusius College is a christian secondary school which is open to pupils from all denominations. There are about 1300 pupils who attend either VMBO (preparatory vocatinal education), HAVO (senior general secondary education) or VWO (grammar school). Most pupils are from the city of Zwolle. Because the school is located within walking distance from the railway station many students from surrouding area attend the school.

The Carolus Clusius College is a worldschool. The school is part of the international ELOS (Europe as a learning environment in schools) network and it is in progress of becoming a Unesco school as well. Pupils get enhanced education in the foreign languages and take part in international olympiads, conferences, contests, exchanges, study trips and so on. Het Poortje Jeugdinrichtingen is een instelling voor jongens en meisjes tot en met 23 jaar. Deze jongeren zijn om verschillende redenen door hun gedrag in de problemen geraakt. De problemen zijn nu zo groot dat het voor de ontwikkeling van de jongere – én vaak ook voor de omgeving – op dat moment het beste is om hem / haar tijdelijk gedwongen (gesloten en besloten) te behandelen. Als enige instelling hiervoor in het Noorden, hebben wij een regionale functie: de jongeren uit Groningen, Friesland en Drenthe krijgen voorrang bij opname.

Elke jongere die door Het Poortje wordt geplaatst, is een uniek individu. Maar er zijn ook overeenkomsten: ze hebben allemaal ernstige gedragsproblemen. Zonder intensieve hulp lukt het hen niet (meer) op eigen kracht te functioneren in de maatschappij. In Het Poortje helpen wij de jongeren én hun ouders om opnieuw grip te krijgen op hun situatie.

Frits Schrouff was only 23 years old when he started Heuschen & Schrouff BV in 1963. Galerie 'heuvelArt' bevindt zich in een sfeervol pandje uit 1930 in het centrum van Oisterwijk, bij het station. Er is aan de straatzijde een aangenaam ogende ruimte waar schilderijen en beelden geëxposeerd worden. Er zullen wisselende exposities zijn van moderne kunst. Het werk van galeriehoudster en beeldend kunstenaar Wilna van den Heuvel is permanent aanwezig. Achter de galerie bevindt zich het atelier waar zij werkt en waar u ook welkom bent.

De galerie zal een uitstraling geven en een vertaling proberen te zijn van moderne kunst in al zijn facetten. Zowel sculpturen, beelden, computer- en fotowerk kunnen onderdeel zijn van de wisselende exposities, maar vooral schilderijen in acryl en olieverf zullen een bijdrage leveren aan de visie van de kunstenaar. Tevens is werk uit de Cobra periode aanwezig zoals Karel Appel, Anton Heyboer en Lucebert. Antiquarische boeken zijn tevens onderdeel van vele expositie.

Heywood Hospital is a non-profit community-owned hospital licensed for 153 bed hospital, located in Gardner, Massachusetts. Hope for the Children of Haiti is a 501(c)3 organization which owns and operates a Christian orphanage and school In Bolosse, an impoverished neighborhood in Port-au-Prince. We currently care for 37 orphaned children and provide top-quality, affordable education to approximately 200 children.

The school and orphanage are managed by Dr. Jacob Bernard, a well-respected Haitian Christian leader, who studied in the United States and received his PhD at the University of North Texas before returning to his homeland. Under his direction, the dedicated Haitian teachers and staff supervise the daily activities of the school and orphanage.

With the desire to create an ambiance that stands out from other steakhouses, world-renowned artist Roy Nachum and design partner Studio Iyor utilized original pieces of artwork and over fifty-thousand pounds of marble in the interior to emphasize an alluring old-meets-new aesthetic for the bi-level, 180-seat space.

The fully immersive design experience allows patrons to experience art in an intimate atmosphere, transporting them back to the era of the ritzy 1960's American steakhouse. Nachum, a New York-based contemporary artist, joined forces with design and architecture firm Studio Iyor to create a design that seamlessly connects each distinctly divided space with its own overarching color palette and atmosphere.

The entry lobby, a dramatic "Black Room," whose highlight is an original painting by Nachum, leads into the adjacent main dining area, which is a "White Room" with an audaciously scaled 40'×20′ reflective chrome light installation. Nachum, who sees his work as an eye-opener… inserting messages or poems in Braille relief, and it encourages people to touch the work, believing that human interaction keeps the work alive and breaks the barrier between the viewer and the art.

Habitat for Humanity began working in Kenya in 1982, and has since helped over 6,000 families in 200 communities across 9 regions.

There is a desperate lack of decent housing in Kenya affecting those in both rural and urban areas. In urban areas where families have especially low incomes overcrowding is a big problem.

Families often live in one room homes without windows, whilst homes made of mud and cow dung, with thatch roofs and dirt floors are common in rural areas. Approximately 750,000 homes in rural areas and 1,500,000 more in urban areas are needed.

The insufficient housing in Kenya has attributed to the increase in social problems; conflict between tenants and landlords has become more common, and set standards regarding the construction of homes are frequently violated.

Building assistance:

Habitat for Humanity provide building assistance for the 222 members of the Panda group in Naivasha and the 2,000 members of Holy bird in Nairobi who hope to move out of slums and into homes on newly acquired land.

Financial education:

In partnership with Citi Foundation, Habitat for Humanity have been providing financial education to potential homeowners since 2009, equipping them with the knowledge and expertise in financial management that will allow them to plan for the future and eventually secure their own homes.

Microfinance:

Manageable loans are provided by Habitat for Humanity through the microfinance housing programme. This venture enables beneficiaries to receive a loan in three instilments, so that the new home owners do not have to carry too heavy a burden of debt. 180,000 Kenya shillings (approx £1,420) is usually enough to build a rural home.

Internally Displaced Families Housing Project: Post election violence in 2007/2008 forced many families to move away from their homes. Habitat for Humanity worked with 335 families to build three roomed houses each with a pit latrine.
