The Grand Forks and Grand Forks Air Force Base School Districts work together in a unique arrangement to serve over 7,300 students who attend schools in the two communities. Eleven hundred people are employed, including nearly 700 teachers and 400 support and administrative staff. Two grades 9-12 high schools, one alternative high school, three grades 6-8 middle schools, 11 elementary schools, one combined elementary and middle school, and one Head Start Program comprise the arrangement of the schools.

The object of research of the GFZ is the Earth System – our planet, on and from which we live. Onze GGD zorgt voor de gezondheid van de inwoners in de regio Gelderland-Zuid. Dit doen wij in opdracht van de gemeenten in Gelderland-Zuid en van de landelijke overheid. Dit gebeurt op de volgende manieren:

- Signaleren en voorkomen van gezondheidsproblemen.

- Acuut optreden bij gevaar voor de volksgezondheid, o.a. bij rampen.

- Zorg toegankelijk maken voor verschillende doelgroepen.

- Bevorderen van samenwerking met partners in gezondheid en veiligheid.

De Veiligheidsregio Gelderland-Zuid, bestaat uit achttien gemeenten: Beuningen, Buren, Culemborg, Druten, Geldermalsen, Groesbeek, Heumen, Lingewaal, Maasdriel, Millingen aan de Rijn, Neder-Betuwe, Neerijnen, Nijmegen, Tiel, Zaltbommel, Ubbergen, West Maas en Waal en Wijchen.

Wat doet de GGD?

Iedereen heeft wel eens van de GGD gehoord. Maar wat doet de GGD nu eigenlijk? Sommigen denken aan de schoolarts of vaccinaties voor een verre vakantie. Anderen denken aan een anonieme soa-test of voorlichting op school. Dat klopt allemaal maar de GGD doet nog veel meer.

The GGD (Public Health Service) Region Utrecht protects, monitors and promotes the health of the more than 920,000 residents of the 25 municipalities of Utrecht our area. We do that by risks to health to identify, prevent, and the health of all residents.

Duties of the Public Health Service

We do include health screenings, give vaccinations, advise municipalities on the health and support schools and child in their care for a healthy learning environment for their children. In addition, we also provide assistance when incidents break out in the region, eg after an outbreak of food poisoning or an infectious disease and we ensure that we are equipped for rapid assistance in case of a bigger disaster (GHOR).

Momentum GGZ is een tweedelijns gespecialiseerde GGZ instelling met een specifieke deskundigheid in het behandelen van alle voorkomende verslavingen of problematisch gebruik van (genots-)middelen.

Behandeling van problemen met eten is tevens een specialisme waar wij specifieke deskundigheid voor in huis hebben. Denk aan emotioneel overeten, overgewicht, milde tot matige vormen van vermageringszucht en Boulimia.

Veel verslavingsproblemen en eetstoornissen gaan gepaard met klachten zoals depressiviteit, burn-out, angstklachten, sociale angsten, minderwaardigheidsgevoelens maar ook problemen die meer verankerd liggen in het karakter.
