Founded by Dr. Vicente G. Sinco, Foundation University opened its doors at the dawn of a new era for the Philippines, a country that emerged at the end of World War II to become Asia's first democracy. From the beginning, the university has been a non-profit, non-sectarian institution, accessible to all.

Dr. Vicente G. Sinco was born in Negros Oriental of modest means, and rose to become an influential figure who helped to write the Philippine Constitution. He was a trusted adviser to several Philippine Presidents, and launched our country's involvement in world affairs as the representative of the Philippines, signing the United Nations Charter in 1945. He was the Dean of Law at the University of the Philippines and served as that institution's president from 1958-1962.

For Foundation University, he envisioned a school that afforded anyone with ability and determination the opportunity for a college education, regardless of wealth or social position. He dreamed of a permanent center for teaching and learning that would help the Philippines assume its place among free nations.

Dr. Vicente Sinco passed this dream on to his son, Leandro (Andy) Sinco who's life had always been intertwined with the fate of Foundation University. In 1993, after a full academic career in the United States, Andy Sinco returned to Dumaguete to take up the reigns of the family-founded university whose graduates now numbered in the thousands. For ten years he infused new life into the school with dynamic leadership that brought to the forefront student-centered principles and uncompromising, personal attention.

We are a small collaborative group that gets together 1-3 times a year to produce short films or web series. That's it! We have limited roles available on our small productions and we try to open the floor to newcomers every year. Most of us are friends or friends of friends, and we produce on very small shoestring budgets, if any. The rest, as they say, is history. The company is now the largest privately owned tackle firm in Europe, and currently sells products in 30 countries, including the USA and Russia. The big product launches of the modern day Fox International are Stratos Magnesium reels, MSB seatboxes and SFD carp rods. Basic products like the metal ruler have now been replaced by electronic Micron bite alarms. Times have certainly changed.

The company soon outgrew its original rented workshop, forcing the move to its UK headquarters. But, as the company continued to expand it was forced to open up a huge European distribution plant in Meer, on the Belgium/Holland border, whilst retaining the UK office as the company's headquarters. Fox International now employs over 100 people, spread across the UK and Europe, including a dedicated on-the-road sales team, a team of leading angling consultants, design department and an impressive CAD product development team.

The Fabulous Fox Theatre opened on January 31, 1929 as one of the crown jewels in William Fox's motion picture empire. Billed as "St. Louis' largest and most magnificent temple of amusement," the theatre's historic relevance was recognized when it was accepted into the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Since 1982, more than 15 million people have passed through the brass doors of the Fox to see Broadway shows, Vegas performers, top pop, rock and comedy concert acts, country superstars, dance, family productions, gospel plays, and classic movies; and to attend tours, seminars, private parties, weddings, graduations and proms.
