Forsvarsministeriets Regnskabsstyrelse (FRS) er beliggende i Hjørring. Styrelsens ca. 170 medarbejdere varetager regnskabsopgaver for Forsvarsministeriet og underliggende myndigheder.

Som koncernens administrative shared service center har styrelsen en bred opgaveportefølje, som spænder fra rejseafregning og fakturabehandling til styring af likviditet over udvikling af regnskabsmodel- og regnskabssystemer, finansiel controlling samt udarbejdelse af koncernens samlede bevillingsregnskab og samlede omkostningsbaserede regnskab.

FRS arbejder kontinuerligt med procesoptimering ud fra kendte lean-principper.

Styrelsen støtter internationale operationer (INTOPS) ved udsendelse af regnskabsmedarbejdere til danske lejre i udlandet for primært at varetage pengeforsyning og kassefunktion. FRS står selv for regnskabsuddannelsen af de udsendte medarbejdere og myndighedernes kasseansvarlige/ regnskabsfører.
