Company History

The origin of Fade 2 Black Productions begins with the tale of two young college students. Zachery D. Powell and Daniel J. Sanz met at Florida Atlantic University, working as directors in the distance learning and broadcast department. After a few character building semesters, the two young lads discovered a handful of freelance video opportunities and, bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, they decided to join forces.

Armed with a used broadcast camera owned by Zachery, and a home computer configured for video editing by Daniel, the two of them were ready to take on the world of professional video.

They started out simple, producing family event videos and small corporate jobs. Their biggest thrill came from the delivery a bar mitzvah, their first client. 'We were excited but extremely nervous,' recalls Daniel, 'what if they didn't like the video? What if they were unhappy with it and our business started off on the wrong foot?' The client called back two hours later extremely pleased and began recommending the work to their friends. Daniel described the feeling that followed as, 'such a relief, and it filled us with a sense of pride and energized us to continue forward'.

Twee handelsnamen en historie

FAAC Group is onderverdeeld in drie business units: Access Automation, Parking HUB en Access Control. Op dit moment werken wij met de twee handelsnamen KEMKO Doetinchem en FAAC Tubular Motors. Beide bedrijven zijn in januari 2015 gefuseerd tot FAAC BV en samengevoegd op één locatie. KEMKO Doetinchem is ruim 27 jaar actief op de Nederlandse markt van automatische deuren en sinds 2011 onderdeel van FAAC Group. FAAC Tubular Motors is specialist op het gebied van motoren en besturingen voor rolluiken en zonwering en bedient vanuit Doetinchem de Benelux-landen, Oostenrijk en Duitsland.

Na de samenvoeging van beide organisaties worden alle producten en andere uitingen steeds meer onder de naam FAAC in de markt gezet. De handelsnamen KEMKO Doetinchem en FAAC Tubular Motors zullen in de nabije toekomst geheel verdwijnen, uiteindelijk zal de naam FAAC BV worden gehanteerd.

Que proposons nous ?

Véritable laboratoire citoyen de fabrication, la Fabrique d'Objets Libres met à disposition de ses adhérents des outils et des machines de prototypage rapide à commande numérique.

Elle permet à chacun de concevoir et de fabriquer localement des "objets libres" à partir de matières premières secondaires.

C'est une plate-forme pluridisciplinaire collaborative qui mêle les profils (techniciens, informaticiens, ingénieurs, scientifiques, bricoleurs, créateurs...) et les générations afin de réunir tous types de compétences.

Qu'est ce qu'un Objet Libre?

Tous nos objets sont " open source ", c'est à dire librement reproductibles. Nous documentons les plans, les procédés de fabrication ainsi que les problèmes rencontrés. Nous laissons cette documentation en téléchargement libre sur internet afin de permettre à toute personne de les reproduire librement n'importe où dans le monde.

Le FabLab Neuchâtel est un espace maker, où l'on conçoit et fabrique ensemble de manière collaborative. C'est aussi un lieu d'expérimentation des nouvelles économies, basées sur le partage de la connaissance et la participation, volontaire et joyeuse, de tous ceux qui veulent développer un projet personnel ou professionnel.
