De Stuurlui is een ontwerpbureau voor stedenbouw en landschap in 2010 opgericht door Marijke Bruinsma en Frank de Volder. Beiden zijn afgestudeerd als stedenbouwkundige aan de Academie van Bouwkunst in Amsterdam.

Wij ontwerpen aan dorp, stad en buurt. We werken aan kleinschalige nieuwbouw, herstructurering en herinrichting van buurten en vormgeving in de openbare ruimte. Thema's als duurzaamheid, bewonersparticipatie en aanpasbaarheid vinden we vanzelfsprekende onderdelen in ons werk. We zoeken voor elke opgave de meest passende oplossing en vertalen deze naar een sterk en duidelijk ontwerp.

Als ontwerpers zijn we creatief, inventief maar ook praktisch. We vinden dat de specifieke kwaliteiten en de context van een plek de basis zijn voor een goed ontwerp. We bedenken ruimtes waarna we als makers zorgen dat deze ook gerealiseerd kunnen worden.
