Founded in 1923, Community Services of Northern Kentucky - DBA The Bill & Betsy Scheben Care Center(formerly Cardinal Hill of Northern Kentucky) has a long and dedicated history of providing programs and services that meet the special needs of children and adults with disabilities. From our original Covington location, we pioneered many "firsts" in Northern Kentucky, including:

The CS&B Lab is focused on studies of chemical speciation (differentiation and quantification of different chemical forms of contaminants and natural constituents) in environmental systems.

The multiplicities of chemical species that can be found in the environment react with each other and interact with the biota present in the media they are in. The physical and chemical properties, as well as the organisms involved, determine how a certain chemical is going to be reflected on the environment.

The final goals of the Lab activities are to get answers for the following questions: (1) how does the chemical composition of a medium influence the responses of an organism in contact with it; and (2) how do organisms from a given system affect the chemical composition of the surrounding medium?

Therefore, research carried out at CS&B Lab intends to give a contribution for the comprehensiveness of biogeochemical processes and may be also relevant for risk assessment purposes.

The Children's Service Center is a 156 year-old behavioral health organization that, annually, provides services to 5,800 children and adolescents residing in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. As the region's leader in mental health services for children, CSC provides services designed to meet the individualized needs of the region's neediest children, adolescents, and their families. The CSC's Assessment, Crisis, and Referral Services are staffed 24-hours a day, seven days a week, by psychiatric professionals for initial assessment and referral. The CSC offers a variety of services across a continuum of care from least restrictive to residential treatment.

Services provided at its Campus in Wilkes Barre, PA include: psychiatric and psychological evaluations; drug & alcohol counseling; day partial hospitalization; dialectical behavioral therapy; medication clinic; parent-child interaction therapy; community residential rehabilitation; First Episode Psychosis services; and, adoption. CSD is a non-partisan, independent organization fostering the reform process in Bulgaria through impact on policy and civil society.

CSD objectives are:

• to provide an enhanced institutional and policy capacity for a successful European integration process;

Ministry of Transport created new governmental institution called Road Traffic Safety Department - now directorate (CSDD) - on October 25, 1991. Thus the legislative power was separated from the executive power because until then everything was managed by one of institutions of Ministry of Interior - State Vehicle Inspection.

The first step was creation of legal basis. That was done on August 30, 1994, when Regulation "On Road Traffic" was adopted, but later, on October 21, 1997, the President passed the Law "On Road Traffic". It stipulated which bodies are responsible for general management of road traffic, issuing of driver's licenses, registration of vehicles, drafts Traffic Rules, as well as sets rights and obligations of drivers.

Numerous legal acts have been adopted on the basis of Law "On Road Traffic" regulating setup of working areas on the roads and streets, technical supervision of vehicles, registration of vehicles, qualification of drivers, also standards of Latvia for road signs, marking of vehicles, colors and equipment of operational vehicles, road marking, and others.

As Latvia has adhered to 1968 Vienna Convention "On Road Traffic" and 1968 Vienna Convention "On Road Signs and Signals" all above mentioned legal acts are based on the provisions of these Conventions and requirements of the European Union.
