Il CEMS è una moderna struttura poli-specialistica di circa 3200 mq distribuiti su tre piani, dove operano più di 140 medici specialisti.

Al piano terra, oltre alla reception, sono collocati 13 ambulatori attrezzati per le varie specialità.

Il primo piano è dedicato all'attività di diagnostica radiologica, che si avvale di macchinari di ultima generazione. Nella maggior parte dei casi la refertazione è redatta e consegnata in tempo reale. Vi si trovano, inoltre, 3 ambulatori chirurgici con area di sterilizzazione.

Al piano interrato si svolge l'attività di riabilitazione funzionale. In un'ampia e attrezzata palestra ed in alcuni box dedicati operano terapisti qualificati, coordinati dai medici fisiatri.

Sempre al piano interrato abbiamo realizzato 13 nuovi ambulatori specialistici, che si vanno ad aggiungere a quelli già esistenti.

Il paziente viene seguito da un team di medici, infermieri, terapisti e tecnici che collaborano per trovare la cura migliore e più adatta ad ogni persona.

Il Centro Medico Specialistico eroga prestazioni sanitarie in forma privata, ossia non ancora convenzionate con il Sistema Sanitario Regionale (SSR). Sono tuttavia state definite forme di convenzione con le maggiori Società Assicurative e Industriali, inoltre, molte delle prestazioni erogate hanno una tariffa vicina al costo del ticket sanitario.

Los inicios de Minera Las Cenizas se sitúan en junio del año 1978, cuando se compra en licitación pública a ENAMI, las acciones de la Sociedad Legal Minera Las Cenizas Uno de Cabildo y las instalaciones de la Planta de Beneficio de Minerales, con una capacidad teórica de 20.000 ton./mes, ubicada en la comuna de Cabildo, provincia de Petorca, V Región, que en la actualidad procesa 85.000 toneladas al mes.

En 1995, se adquiere el 60% de participación del proyecto minero de cobre Las Luces, perteneciente a las empresas Citibank y Shell Chile, yacimiento ubicado en Taltal, Segunda Región, a 320 kilómetros al sur de Antofagasta. En la actualidad, Minera Las Cenizas controla la totalidad de este yacimiento y la Planta de Procesamiento de Minerales, construida en 1996 y que hoy procesa 85.000 toneladas al mes.

Con el objeto de abastecer de minerales a la Planta Las Luces, el año 2003 es adquirido a Minera Pudahuel el yacimiento de cobre Altamira.

El 2010, también en la zona de Taltal, inicia su funcionamiento una moderna Planta de Lixiviación, para el procesamiento de minerales de óxidos de cobre, con una capacidad nominal para producir 7.000 toneladas de cátodos de cobre al año. Esta Planta procesa minerales de los yacimientos Aguilucho, Altamira y posteriormente lo hará con Barreal Seco. Una de sus características es que en su proceso se emplea agua de mar, que es conducida a través de una impulsión de 44 kilómetros de longitud, contándose con una Planta de Osmosis de última generación, para eliminar las impurezas químicas y obtener cátodos de cobre de alta calidad.

En su incursión en el negocio eléctrico, Cenizas construyó y puso en funcionamiento en el 2010, una planta generadora de energía eléctrica, que utiliza combustible IFO 180, con una capacidad nominal de generación de 17 MW, ubicada en Copiapó, Tercera Región, la cual inyecta su producción al SIC.

Additionally, The Center provides school based prevention education to over 33,000 area students annually, with programs on body safety, anti-bullying, conflict resolution, and healthy relationships.

The Center has two domestic violence shelters in Peoria and Pekin, offices in the Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford County Courthouses to assist with Orders of Protection, and abuser re-education classes are offered in another Peoria office. Medical advocates are available 24/7 to respond to victims of sexual assault and/or domestic violence who obtain medical treatment in the emergency departments of area hospitals.

Annually, over 5,000 victims of abuse seek safety and support at The Center for Prevention of Abuse, at no cost to the victim.
