El Centro de Estudios y Experimentación de Obras Públicas (CEDEX), es un organismo público de vanguardia aplicado a la ingeniería civil, la edificación y el medio ambiente. Está adscrito orgánicamente al Ministerio de Fomento y funcionalmente a los Ministerios de Fomento y de Agricultura, Alimentación y Medio Ambiente.

Proporciona apoyo multidisciplinar en las tecnologías de la ingeniería civil, la edificación y el medio ambiente, y asiste tanto a las administraciones e instituciones públicas como a empresas privadas. Se compone de una serie unidades técnicas especializadas denominadas Centros y Laboratorios, que proporcionan asistencia técnica de alto nivel, investigación aplicada y desarrollo tecnológico en el marco de la ingeniería civil.

Las actividades que llevan a cabo son, entre otras:

- Captación, análisis, tratamiento y explotación de datos básicos.

- Modelos físicos reducidos y simulación numérica.

- Estudio e investigación en sus propias instalaciones y con prototipos.

- Control de calidad en obras póblicas.

- Apoyo a la planificación e implementación de la normativa básica propias de los Departamentos.

- Estudios medioambientales.

- Auscultación de obras, elementos y sistemas.

- Información y documentación científica y tecnológica.

- Organización de cursos de postgrado, seminarios y otras actividades docentes.

Centre for Environment Education, CEE was created in recognition of the importance of environmental education in India's overall environment and development strategy. The result of a unique partnership between government and a non-governmental institution, CEE was established as a Centre of Excellence in 1984, supported by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), Government of India.

CEE has inherited the rich multi-disciplinary resource base and varied experience of Nehru Foundation for Development, its parent organisation, which has been promoting educational efforts since 1966 in the areas of science, nature study, health, development, and environment.

At the time it began its activities, CEE was perhaps the only organization actively engaged in environmental education in the country. While carrying out programmes in different parts of the country, it was located only at Ahmedabad. Within five years of activities, it was realized that for a country as vast as India and its diversity, physical presence was important for effective implementation. Based on this, the first regional office was opened for the Southern region in 1988-89. Since then it has been a conscious effort to have an office or presence in the geographical area of work.

After completing a decade of activities in 1994, it was decided to move more from environmental education to environmental action. CEE began more pilot, field-level and demonstration projects towards sustainable development which could be scaled-up and replicated. Within the next ten years, these projects formed a major chunk of Centre's activities.

Today, CEE works for a wide range of sectors, target groups and geographical areas. CEE sees a major opportunity in the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-14) to further contribute towards sustainable development.

Le Cégep de Drummondville est un établissement d'enseignement collégial public qui offre de la formation initiale à environ 2000 étudiants inscrits dans sept programmes préuniversitaires et onze programmes techniques menant à l'obtention de diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC).

Fondé en 1967, le Cégep de l'Outaouais est l'un des douze premiers cégeps à voir le jour au Québec et à offrir un enseignement supérieur, d'ordre collégial, proposant des formations préuniversitaires et techniques. L'institution portait alors l'appellation « CÉGEP de Hull » et regroupait les institutions suivantes : l'Institut de technologie de Hull, le Collège classique Marguerite-D'Youville (filles), le Collège classique Marie-Médiatrice (garçons), l'École normale de Hull, l'Institut familial de Hull et l'École des infirmières de l'Hôpital Sacré-Cœur de Hull. Depuis 1967, le Cégep de l'Outaouais a connu différentes appellations : Cégep de Hull (de 1967 à 1975), Cégep de l'Outaouais (de 1975 à 1984) et Collège de l'Outaouais (de 1984 à 2004). C'est en fin d'année 2003 que le conseil d'administration décidait d'opter pour un retour à l'appellation Cégep de l'Outaouais . Le déploiement de la nouvelle image corporative du cégep s'est amorcé au cours de la rentrée scolaire de l'automne 2004.

Grâce à l'atmosphère humaine ainsi qu'au travail réalisé par les divers intervenants pédagogiques, le Cégep de Sorel-Tracy obtient des taux de réussite et de diplomation enviables dans le réseau collégial. Le taux de réussite aux cours se situe depuis cinq ans à environ 89 %. Le dynamisme des différents projets liés à la pédagogie et à la réussite nous a permis d'atteindre le meilleur taux de diplomation institutionnel des collèges de la Montérégie.

Le Centre d'Etudes en Habitat Durable est une institution scientifique de recherche spécialisée sur l'habitat en Wallonie. Il a été créé par la Wallonie, les universités de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles et les organismes publics wallons en charge de la politique du logement.

Le Centre exerce les métiers de la recherche en sciences sociales et des méthodes quantitatives. Il affiche un savoir-faire à articuler la recherche et l'action publique. Il réalise entre autres :

1) des études de préfiguration, de faisabilité et d'évaluation. Ce type de production est une spécificité du Centre qui conduit des comparaisons internationales, développe des propositions et esquisse des scénarii à partir de méthodologies robustes. Par exemple : une étude de faisabilité d'un label qualité du logement étudiant, etc.

2) des études approfondies et explicatives. Ce type de recherche est le plus courant des travaux scientifiques. Le C.E.H.D. réserve ces études pour les grandes problématiques d'analyse de la situation de l'habitat afin de mettre en évidence des dynamiques et des tendances. Par exemple : l'indice de qualité de l'habitat et son évolution en Wallonie, l'analyse de performance thermique des logements, etc.

3) des études méthodologiques ou de méta-analyse. A travers ces productions, l'objectif est de fournir des analyses sur la structuration des données et les méthodes qui développeront l'appareil statistique wallon sur le logement. Ces études visent également, pour le compte d'organismes publics, à évaluer la qualité des prestations de sociétés de collecte de l'information.

4) des services d'hébergement des données et de documentation. Forts de la confiance accordée au savoir-faire du C.E.H.D., des partenaires— en particulier le Service Public de Wallonie/DGO 4 — ont souhaité confier quelques bases de données d'enquête afin d'en assurer une meilleure valorisation et exploitation auprès notamment des universités ou d'autres organismes publics.

O Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas 'Dr. João Amorim' - CEJAM, pessoa jurídica de direito privado, é uma entidade sem fins lucrativos, com duração por prazo indeterminado e regida por estatuto próprio, legislação pertinente e sem qualquer vinculação política ou religiosa. Foi criado em 20 de Maio de 1991 por um grupo de médicos, advogados e profissionais de saúde do Centro de Referencia da Saúde da Mulher e de Nutrição Alimentação e Desenvolvimento Infantil - CRSMINADI, Hospital Perola Byington, para dar apoio àquela Instituição.

Sua denominação deu-se em homenagem ao Dr. João Amorim, médico Obstetra, um dos seus fundadores e o 1.º Diretor Clínico do Hospital Perola Byington e com ampla experiência na administração em saúde.

Nos seus primeiros dez anos de existência, o CEJAM concentrou suas ações na Atenção Integral à Saúde da Mulher, (coordenado pelo Prof.º José Aristodemo Pinotti e sua equipe), graças a um convênio com a Secretaria de Estado da Saúde, encerrado em 2001.

Com o desligamento da maioria da referida equipe, o CEJAM passou a dedicar-se a três áreas sendo: Saúde, Educação e Responsabilidade Social. Começando pelo Programa Saúde da Família - PSF no Jardim Ângela, a seguir pela Escola de Saúde, instalada na Rua Humaitá n.º 349, quase concomitantemente iniciamos o Social pelos Programas 'Dr. Conforto' e 'Deficiente Saudável', visando o apoio psicossocial e a inclusão aos mais carentes.

Nesses últimos 10 anos o CEJAM centralizou seus esforços nessas áreas para tornar-se a grande Instituição que é hoje, com mais de 7.000 colaboradores e estendendo sua dedicação por programas e projetos sociais de outros municípios paulistas e com perspectivas de assumir compromissos em outros Estados e mesmo internacionais.
