BVR was founded in february 1967, and since that moment the company structure remained the same. The company started the production of panel edging materials, then developing any type of variation:paper based, wood based, aluminium and ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). At the same time, BVR began to produce aluminium profiles.

Edging has always been, and is today the heart of the company production. From the Seventies, BVR is located in the Lurago d'Erba factory, in the province of Como. Formed in 2006 by a handful of volunteers and incorporated in the spring of 2007, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue (BWAR) began by saving cats and dogs from gassing shelters and finding them good homes. With the hard work of countless individuals, just over two years later BWAR opened the largest No Kill shelter and Adoption Center in Western North Carolina, home to on average 100 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies. Today, over 400 animals are in the care of Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, many living in foster homes waiting to come to the Adoption Center or to find their new families at one of the many off-site events held throughout the community. In 2012, BWAR is on target to find homes for over 3,000 animals.

Open 365 days a year, the Adoption Center is not only a safe haven for animals in need, it's also a place where people can feel great about volunteering. BWAR is a resource to civic groups, businesses, and students seeking service hours, as well as countless children who learn how to be kind to animals.
