Bømlo kommune er ein godt utbygd øykommune i Sunnhordland med ca. 11.700 innbyggjarar. Kommunen er landfast via Trekantsambandet. Rådmannsteamet omfattar rådmannen og to kommunalsjefar. Dei har overordna ansvar for heile den kommunale verksemda, alle tenester som kommunen gir, planlegging, økonomi og personalforvaltning. Dette er eit samarbeidsprosjekt på innkjøp mellom kommunane Stord, Bømlo, Fitjar, Kvinnherad og Tysnes.
