ARC Cancer Support Centre is a registered voluntary organisation (CHY 10857) providing a drop-in service and professional support to people affected by cancer and to their families, friends and carers. All our services are provided free of charge.

Whether you have recently been diagnosed with cancer, are in recovery, are the parent of a child with cancer or a family member or friend of someone with cancer, ARC welcomes you with open arms and will care for you during these difficult times.

If you or your loved one has had a cancer diagnosis, you can feel shocked, frightened and/or apprehensive. The services we provide are holistic and complement primary medical treatment thereby playing a vital role in improving the physical, emotional and psychological well-being of cancer patients and their loved ones.

The beliefs and principles of the Catholic Faith serve as the basis for the

operation of the Archdiocese of New York and its constituent members as

expressed in the following mission statement.

We, the Catholic People of God of the Archdiocese of New York, have a

mission, given by the Lord Himself, to live and proclaim His gospel message. This

mission, entrusted by Jesus calls us to be aware of the local area and the world, the

spiritual and the material, the present and the future. The same gospel that

challenges us is also our consolation. The same Lord who commanded, 'Go

therefore and make disciples of all nations,' added, 'I am with you always, until

the end of the world.' (Matthew 28;19-20)

Ons uitgangspunt is daarbij dat niet alles per definitie onderzoekswaardig is. Het maken van onnodige kosten wordt voorkomen door tijdens het keuzeproces rekening te houden met landelijke, provinciale en gemeentelijke onderzoeksagenda's.

Wortels

Onze wortels liggen in de Faculteit der Archeologie van de Universiteit Leiden. Met een aantal regio's in Nederland zijn we daardoor sterk verbonden: de Brabantse en Limburgse zandgronden, het Maasdal, de Zuid-Limburgse lössgronden, de veen- en kleigebieden van de Flevopolder en Noord- en Zuid-Holland.
