American Cooperative School of Tunis
ACST is a private, independent school governed by an elected Board of Directors. The school was established in 1959 by American Embassy parents and has enjoyed a close relationship with the US Embassy and Government for over 50 years.
ACST is accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges in the US, the Council of International Schools in Europe, as well as the International Baccalaureate Organization. The school uses American curriculum standards and benchmarks with an international perspective and a college preparatory level of rigor. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, the IB Diploma Program is used in grades 11 and 12 in order to prepare our graduates for success in their continuing education.
The students and families of ACST come from more than 70 countries and bring an established tradition of hard work, varied interests, and a passion for learning. The school is a member of the Atlantic Mediterranean Activities Conference (AMAC) and our students participate in various competitions and activities with other member schools around the Mediterranean.
The teachers at ACST come from a variety of North American public and private schools as well as comparable international schools from around the world.
